Hyatti is a mobile phone application that uses an ambigous code that is designed to look like art rather than your run of the mill code. It is essentially meant to be ‘your life’ during your stay at any of the Park Hyatt hotels around the world as you are able to control everything with the scan of a code and the tap of your finger...

HYATTI Hyatti translates as my life in Arabic and Turkish which describes this app perfectly as it will guide the user’s life during their stay at Park Hyatt no matter where they are in the city/ world.


hyatti code design

The code is meant to be technical containing some information without looking like the codes we are so used to seeing. I used the Travertine marble as inspiration for the texture of the code.

The code can be put into any surrounding: store walls, doors, furniture, objects etc.The code can be stitched, burnt, printed...

Park Hyatt’s alliances will now be categorized as being part of Hyatti selects. This will be to help guide the user to selected hotspots from culture to parties and everything in between. This will be linked to a website like TripAdvisor so Hyatti selects the best options and alerts the user according to their preferences.

THE NINOS

First time users, Mr. and Mrs. Nino from Greece have booked a PRESTIGE SUIT with an adjoining room for their two children Nick and Nina and have downloaded the Park Hyatt - HYATTI application onto their iPhones so that they are able to access the amenities through the application and the ‘secret’ codes around their room, hotel and city. Their driver hands them an information booklet about how to unlock the secret codes and how to use the app. Mr. Nino begins using the application in the car on the way to the hotel and sets everything up according to their preferences. He is able to connect to both rooms.


Hyatti allows the Nino’s to check in on the go so that they can go straight to their rooms upon reaching the hotel.This allows the hotel to know exactly who is coming in and when as well as their preferances and personal issues such as allergies (Hyatti cloud)

Once they reach the hotel the bell boy follows the Ninos into their now personalized room to assist them with unpacking.


Hyatti enables the family to unlock their rooms by using the app so that they do not need to fuss around with locks and keys. This feautre can be extended into areas such as the spa for sections that are for hotel guests only.

The ACTIVE OBJECTS around the room can be accessed through a virtual panoramic display.


Mr. Nino wants to adjust the light settings and after clicking on the light he wants to adjust on the panoromic display he is able to change the brightness by simply scrolling up and down on an active icon.


Mr. Nino scans the code in the shower to control temperature, steam options, music syncing options etc. so that he can have a personalized shower ready for him before he enters the cubicle.


While Mr. Nino is in the shower, Mrs. Nino orders lunch for everybody using the ‘Room Service’ section of the app.

Mr. Valerio Dolce, a successful young entrepreneur has been a loyal member of the Hyatt group and is a member of the Hyatt Gold Passport scheme. As he has been using HYATTI for a few years, the application lets him login and save his calendar of choice to the system so that he is able to have a think free holiday in between his business meetings.

As Mr. Dolce is an experinced user he did not have to check in, but login and confirm details. He was also able to upload his calendar via Gcal, iCal or any other supported calendar format so that Hyatti is able to suggest how he should spend his free time according to what she already knows about his preferences and saved Hyatti data history.
