The granddaughter of Holocaust survivors and the daughter of hard-working, self-made parents, the values of empathy, resilience, and justice were instilled in Hava from a young age.

Her family’s journey from city to city for her parents’ work - her father, a leader in healthcare, and her mother, a public school teacher - defined Hava's childhood. Shelearnedearlyonthe strugglesofbeinganoutsiderandhow toseetheneedsofothers,developing anunshakeabledrivetobuildbridges, findcommonground,andrealizethe collectivegood.
Always aspiring to make a lasting difference in her community, Hava pursued an education equipping her with the skills to create a more just, equitable, and sustainable world. After earning degrees in environmental science and psychology from Tufts
Personallyandprofessionally,Hava hasstooduptobulliesandfoughtfor humanrightsanddignity. She challenged unlawful firings, battled for civil and equal rights, and worked with business owners across industries to achieve equitable and more productive workplaces. As a young mother, early on in her career, Hava defended herself and colleagues, pursuing flex time and maternity facilities for working moms.
Her background in enacting thoughtful, common-sense policies will help deliver possibility and progress for all our families in South Florida.
