7:30pm | Friday, November 20 | Wikert Event Center – Fremont, Neb. The Midland University volleyball team makes the return to the Wikert Event Center for their final regular-season Great Plains Athletic Conference match of the season. The Warriors welcome Hastings College in a match which was originally slated for October 7. Midland and Hastings have met once this season with Hastings downing the Warriors in 3-2 fashion. Midland sits at 9-8 overall with an 8-7 mark in the always tough GPAC. The Warriors are looking for a key win this evening with postseason GPAC-Conference implications at stake. Hastings boasts a 7-7 record with a 6-6 mark in the league. Midland ranks second in the conference in kills per set (13.8), assists per set (12.9), services aces per set (1.6) in hitting percentage (.222), while ranking fourth in hitting percentage (.222). The team opened the year by hitting below .211 in each of their first seven matches. Since then the Warriors have hit above .300 in six of their last 10 contests. Individually, sophomore Hope Leimbach has coordinated a balanced offense that has five players averaging at least 2.0 kills per set.
