Psalteries is a joyful community of young singers who come together to celebrate God through music. Our mission is to help children develop a lifelong love for God by teaching them how to worship with their voices, their talents, and the way they live each day.
Over the years, Psalteries has brought many beloved productions to life, including *The Little Drummer Boy*, *Just Believe*, *Legacy of Love*, *A Star is Born*, and *Straight Outta Bethlehem*, among others. Each performance offers our children an opportunity to grow in confidence, creativity, and spiritual understanding.
At the heart of Psalteries is a simple purpose: to nurture a genuine love for God in every child. We strive to cultivate an atmosphere where kids feel inspired to sing boldly, serve joyfully, and worship wholeheartedly. Through practice, performance, and fellowship, our choir members learn that worship is more than a song—it’s a way of life.
OPENING REMARKS
On behalf of the Jubilee Evangelical Church, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those who made this Psalteries Musical Production a huge success. Thank you to all the volunteers who took time and effort in guiding our kids through the rigorous practices and rehearsals; to the parents who allowed their kids to take part in a musical such as this despite their kids’ busy class schedules; and most of all to the kids, who in their own little way, were truly like angels, declaring the good news of great joy, The birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is our prayer that the message of the songs and of the angels ring through, not only in the walls of the auditorium, but also in the corners of your heart. May their message of hope, peace, joy and love fill our hearts this Christmas and that may we all share the same message to a world that badly needs to hear it. Have a Blessed Christmas.
Rev. Joselito Chua Pastor, Jubilee Evangelical Church
MESSAGE FROM OUR DIRECTOR
Welcome, everyone, to our production of Angel Alert!
It has been a privilege to embark on this journey with such a young, energetic and talented cast. This show, at its heart, is a celebration of anticipation, the fulfillment of divine promises, and the joyous message of hope that the Christmas story brings to the world.
The title “Angel Alert” captures the excitement of the heavenly hosts, busy preparing for the most important announcement in history. In our telling, we’ve explored what it means to wait with purpose and an open heart, just as the angels waited for their cue to share the news with the shepherds. Their journey reminds us that every person, no matter how small, has a role to play in sharing God’s great love. The Greek word for “angel” simply means “messenger,” and my prayer is that our young performers become just that for you this performance: messengers of hope, peace, and love.
Bringing this production to life has been a wonderful challenge. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the incredible cast, the tireless crew, our supportive parent volunteers, and everyone who has helped forge this experience. Their dedication and passion shine through every song and scene.
As you watch our “angels” sing and tell this timeless story, I hope you are reminded of the wonder and magic of Christmas. May the story of God’s love for us be evident and bring joy to your heart this holiday season.
Thank you for being a part of our performance. Enjoy the show!

MESSAGE FROM OUR MUSICAL DIRECTOR
As musical director, it’s been pure joy watching these kids grow—yes, even the ones who discovered today that we sing on pitch. They are works in progress, but so are we all.
In this season when we sing about a “Strange Way to Save the World,” stand in awe at “O Holy Night,” and celebrate “The Night That Heaven Came Down,” may these young voices remind us that God uses the small, the learning, and the not-yet-perfect to show something beautiful.
May their songs stay stuck in your head... in a good, singable way.
SHANDA LIM-UY Psalteries, Musical Director
“Angel” means “messenger,” and what better way to spread the message at Christmas time than with angels! In Angel Alert!, created by Celeste Clydesdale and arranged by David T. Clydesdale, your entire children’s choir is made up of angels! In fact, they are all waiting to be told when to go to earth and make the grand announcement. As they wait for the call, they review God’s faithfulness through His promises and some of the prophecies about the Savior’s birth. The musical is full of worship and plenty of celebration, since the angels understand the love God has for His people in sending His Son to earth.
