GET YOUR GIVE ONLINE CFC of South Hampton Roads announces its support of the first annual CFC GET YOUR GIVE ONLINE (CFCGYGO) – an initiative to increase philanthropy in the Federal workplace through the convenience of online giving to Combined Federal Campaign charities. Presented nationally, CFC GET YOUR GIVE ONLINE is a week-long special campaign event, October 15 – 19, to encourage and emphasize the convenience of giving online as an alternative to the traditional paper pledge and charity brochure. The annual Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) solicitation season is September 1 through December 15. Please remember to support your favorite charities! With over 2,800 participating charities in the South Hampton Roads CFC, the CFC overall is the world's largest and most successful workplace charitable drive. Last year, our South Hampton Roads Federal employees pledged generously, giving $4,949,778 with 19.1% participation. Let’s set the bar even higher for this year’s campaign to include increasing our participation rate to 23.6% or higher.
CFCGYGO Donations through the CFC change lives and bring relief and hope to thousands of communities and millions of Americans and that is why CFC of South Hampton Roads will participate in this first annual “campaign inside the campaign” event, October 15 – 19, 2012. If you are thinking about donating and haven’t already done so, you may give to your favorite charities online by going to www.cfcshr.org (click the GET YOUR GIVE ONLINE logo) to make your online pledge which provides a search option and giving resources featuring all of the charities participating in the South Hampton Roads CFC. During the campaign event week, October 15 – 19, CFCSHR will join the national federal community effort to build campaign momentum and connect with others that support charities through the CFC.
