Meine künstlerische Praxis erstreckt sich von Malerei bis zu Videoarbeiten. Ich bin Sammlerin. Und ich suche. Ich suche Bilder, Wörter, Texte und dann, wenn ich ein Archiv angelegt habe, beginne ich mit diesem zu arbeiten. Bei der Malerei passiert es oft, dass ich viele Schichten auftrage, ich übermale und der Untergrund scheint noch durch, ein Fragment davon oder ein Ausschnitt...so haben die Bilder, wie auch meine Videoarbeiten meist viele Schichten und Layer. Das haben die beiden Medien bei mir gemeinsam, wie auch die Motive, die mich beschäftigen. In der Videokunst arbeite ich viel mit gefundenem Material und stelle dann mit selbst gedrehten Bildern und Texten Collagen zusammen zu einer abstrakten Narration. Ich bin eine Taucherin in der Bilderflut, getrieben von einer unstillbaren Sehnsucht, einer ewigen Sehnsucht des Weiblichen.
Meine Bildmotive sind sehr intuitiv, sie passieren. Sie sind geprägt von einer Freiheit, die es sonst im Leben nicht gibt. Und sie sind sehr bunt oft, abstrakt und skizzenhaft. Was ihnen zugrunde liegt ist eine kritische Auseinandersetzung mit der Gesellschaft, mit ökonomischer und sozialer Unsicherheit, mit Aspekten der menschlichen Psyche. Ich arbeite stets mit dem Unbewußten, mit den Abgründen, den Träumen und Sehnsüchten. Der Akt des Träumens zwischen Realität und dem nicht Realisierbaren, dem Abwesenden und dem nicht Sichtbaren wird von Hoffnung und Sehnsucht begleitet, aber ebenso von Wut, Angst und Verzweiflung. Die Abgründe der menschlichen Psyche interessieren mich und bewegen mich zu den Formen und Kompositionen, aber sie sind lustig und haben Humor, manchmal sind sie auch ironisch oder sarkastisch. Sie sind geprägt von Lebendigkeit, von Imagination.
