FRATERNITY AND SORORITY LIFE Since 1952, the University of North Texas fraternity and sorority community has been a viable and integral part of campus life. With four councils consisting of over 40 fraternities and sororities, our fraternity and sorority life community offers a unique and life long involvement experience. Fraternity and sorority life promotes the experience of self-governance, leadership development, academic achievement, community service, social opportunities, and friendship.

Recruitment or membership intake is a mutual selection process for joining a fraternity or sorority. It is a time for prospective members to ask questions, define financial obligations, time commitments, and membership requirements. Registering for recruitment or showing interest in an organization does not obligate you to become a new member of any organizations. Whether or not you decide to join a fraternity or sorority,

FRATERNITY AND SORORITY LIFE PROGRAMS Order of Omega and Rho Lamda - Both are Greek honorary societies that have GPA requirements to join. The members of these honor societies have exhibited the highest- qualities of leadership and service to the UNT community. Greek Ambassadors - This program seeks to educate the local and UNT campus community about the benefits of fraternity and sorority membership, while promoting change in false perceptions. They assist in Greek Preview Day and Fraternity and Sorority Housing Tours throughout the year.
