Italy is rightfully known as the land of diversity. There is quite literally something for everyone. Its stunning architecture is equally as pleasing as the untouched natural landscape. Its unrivaled history encompasses religion, art, food, wine, romance, and culture. Historical ruins are one of Italy’s major attractions because it’s a chance to witness history up-close and in person. Some of the must-see Roman ruins you should visit while in Italy include the Colosseum, Pantheon, and the Forum. The Colosseum is still partly intact due to its impressive Roman-style architecture and engineering. Built out of concrete and stone, this oval-shaped amphitheater was initially designed to entertain thousands of spectators watching animal ghts and gladiatorial combat. The Pantheon is another specimen of Greco-Roman architecture. The world’s largest frameless, concrete dome is still standing and has been used as a multifaceted house of worship throughout the centuries. https://jeanetmadurodepolanco.com/historic-places-in-italy/
