On behalf of the Southeastern Rheumatology Fellows Symposium and our Board of Directors, we want to thank you for your support and participation in the 3rd Annual 2024 SERFS Annual Meeting.
SERFS strives to stimulate interest in and increase the knowledge of rheumatic diseases among rheumatology fellows with a special focus on addressing curriculum gaps. We have secured dynamic speakers and planned several “hands-on” sessions to equip our attendees with the skill set necessary to navigate the changing landscape of rheumatology.
In addition to clinical information, attendees will learn the importance of strong state societies. A secondary goal of SERFS is to empower the next generation of rheumatologists to have a healthy interest in advocacy activities and professional development. This year we are pleased to announce that SERFS and the Florida Society of Rheumatology will collaborate to ful ll this goal. The SERFS and FSR expect to cultivate this relationship in the years to come.
Understanding the upcoming therapeutic pipeline in the rheumatologic sector is critical to early adoption of advanced therapies with novel mechanisms of actions. This year the SERFS Board has invited Medical Science Liaisons to attend the lectures and for each of them to host an intimate small group dinners to discuss their respective company’s “pipeline.” It is our hope the interaction will help to foster camaraderie between the young physician and our industry partners.
Finally, we are THANKFUL for our generous sponsors! Sponsors are an essential part of our meeting’s success and bene t both our attendees and the companies who participate. Please be sure to visit the exhibit hall to extend a thank you to the pharmaceutical and industry representatives for their support. Without them, SERFS would not be possible. Also remember to have your ra e card signed and returned to the registration desk to be entered into the ra e.
Sincerely Yours,
Rodney Daniel, MD

These goals are associated with reduced burden (e.g., reduction in fatigue, pain, and disability). 2-4 Help Get Your Patient’s RA Under Control at
