WELCOME TO THE GOLDEN ISLES. Brunswick is part of Georgia’s celebrated Golden Isles, which includes the barrier islands of St. Simons Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and Little St. Simons Island. St. Simons Island and Jekyll Island are just a short trip over the causeway from the college.

COASTAL ECOLOGY. Unparalleled access to the Georgia coast, where a variety of coastal and marine ecosystems provide living laboratories for hands-on discovery and conservation.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE. You’ll benefit from close proximity to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, a training destination for 91 federal law enforcement agencies. Learn from current and former FLETC instructors and consider pursuing an internship at the Center.
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE. Immerse yourself in coastal and lowcountry environments with in-depth, on-site fieldwork. Currently 100% of ES students complete a professional internship and/ or independent research as part of their degree.
HOSPITALITY, TOURISM, AND EVENT MANAGEMENT Prepare to be surrounded by world-class resorts and tourism destinations. Every hospitality major completes a 150-hour internship.
HONORS. Anyone with a GPA of 3.0 or higher (and the motivation to take their studies further) can participate. Honors is an opportunity to go deep on course material and take advantage of specialized research opportunities. Think of it as a kind of mini grad school.
THE ENDEAVOR PROGRAM. Endeavor is designed to help you recognize, develop, and showcase all the skills you gain throughout your college journey. At the core of the program are Endeavor Tags – milestones you earn by participating in meaningful learning experiences both inside and outside the classroom.
THE LUCAS CENTER. Have a business idea you think could really work? The Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship is a resource hub supporting entrepreneurs across the Golden Isles through mentorship, workshops, pitch competitions, and more. Students of any major can minor in Entrepreneurship and can access all of the Center’s programs and services for their projects.

As part of our Supplemental Instruction program, a peer tutor sits in on the class with students and works with the professor and students to create targeted lessons. It adds an extra layer of support within the classroom and maximizes your ability to ace the material.

AT HOME AT COASTAL. Living on campus means you never miss a thing. With suite- and apartment-style living options, our three residence halls – Lakeside Village, Mariner Village, and Coastal Place Apartments – are some of the most beautiful facilities in the state. And plan to eat well, too – at our two primary dining facilities, Mariner’s Galley and Dockside Deli.
Our amazing student-led campus activities board packs the schedule with everything from movies and game nights to concerts and comedians. There are also plenty of big, allcampus events, such as MarinerFest and Homecoming. Everyone comes out for food, music, carnival rides, bouncy houses, the works.
Off campus, you’ll never run out of things to do and places to explore. Enjoy the miles and miles of sandy beaches. Hike through ancient maritime forests. Go biking or kayaking – or head out to Pier Village on St. Simons and grab an ice cream cone and just wander.

Athletics and staying active are a big part of student life at the College of Coastal Georgia. And even though our intercollegiate student-athletes are amazing, you don’t need to be on an intercollegiate team to feel the spirit. From club sports to fitness classes to intramurals, there are plenty of ways to stay fit and have fun (including cheering on our teams by yelling your head off in the stands).
INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETIC TEAMS
GO MARINERS! Coastal Georgia offers athletic scholarships in seven varsity sports competing at the NAIA level as a member of the Sun Conference. The Mariners have brought home two national championships in men’s golf along with having earned national ranking in every sponsored sport.
CLUB SPORTS & INTRAMURALS. Healthy competition mixed with a whole lot of fun. Based on student interest, club sports and intramurals may include baseball, soccer, cheer, and more.
SERIOUSLY FIT. The Helm Fitness Center is equipped with cardio machines, strength training equipment, and free weights. Based on interest from semester to semester, fitness classes including, but not limited to, cardio, high intensity interval training, body combat, functional fitness, core/full body are hosted. The Helm is a fully functional fitness facility that features rowing machines, kettlebells, agility ladders, ropes, plyometric boxes, and more.

APPLYING TO COASTAL. We accept applicants for fall, summer, and spring entry. The admissions application opens every August for the Fall Term of the next academic year. The first step is to submit your online application and pay the application fee; after that, you’ll just need to provide any required documents needed to complete your admissions file.
