JCI Kinta have an opportunity to visit Embassy of Malaysia Phnorm Penh during our visitation to Cambodia. Embassies serve as hubs of information and can provide us as an NGO with valuable insights into the host country's political, social, and economic landscape. We can use this information to make more informed decisions and plans related to our work
In addition, the Embassies also facilitate partnerships and collaborations between us and other NGOs and local organizations in Cambodia. These partnerships can enhance the effectiveness and reach of our initiatives Once again, thank you Embassy of Malaysia Phnorm Penh for hosting us.
Another experience diving into the heart of JCI Malaysia's operations! On 15 July 2023, JCI Kinta had the pleasure of attending JCI Malaysia's 2nd National Board Meeting which took place at JCI Malaysia secretariat. This visitation showed increasing keenness of JCI Kinta to learn the proceedings of the national BOD meeting as there were more members attended as observers compared to the previous visitation
This exposure offered invaluable learning opportunities and insights into national board meeting procedures and enhanced effective meeting skills. In the meantime, this visitation served as a platform for networking and collaboration with members from other LOs.
Participation in national-level meetings empowers our members, instilling the confidence to take on leadership roles within our local chapter. Thank you once again to the National Board of Directors for offering such a precious experience to JCI Kinta, and we are looking forward to leveraging newfound knowledge and energy to propel JCI Kinta to greater heights.
During our two-day one-night trip to Bandar Klang to attend the 2nd National BOD meeting, JCI Kinta is delighted to make a visit to our brotherhood chapter, JCI Bandar Klang. This special meet-up was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our ties, explore future collaboration prospects, and engage in a heartwarming fellowship session with the members of JCI Bandar Klang.
Here, we would like to thank JCI Bandar Klang for their warm hospitality and gracious welcome. It was truly a memorable experience, and we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. As we continue our journey of bringing positive impacts, we eagerly look forward to collaborating with JCI Bandar Klang to create an even brighter future for our communities and our organization.
As always, one of the routine for JCI Kinta is to visit the government or government related agencies. We may seek technical assistance, training, or capacity-building support from government agencies. Visits can help us to understand the resources and assistance available to us
Also, visitation to government agencies can provide us with information about funding opportunities, grants, and government programs that align with our agenda and projects. This information can help us to secure additional resources to support tour work.
In the meeting, we found out that government or government related agencies actually having lots of events and programs that are benefiting the communities while in the same time aligning with our objective, which is making Ipoh a better place
They have resources, data, and expertise that can benefit in our work These resources may include research findings, training programs, or access to government databases. This can greatly increase the effectiveness of both parties in bring values and opportunities to communities in Ipoh or even Perak.
Another exciting experience that JCI Kinta had in July was the participation in the 2023 JCI Malaysia Area North Member Get Together 1.0 hosted by JCI Taiping This two-day, one-night event was a dynamic blend of learning and networking that left unforgettable memories for all who attended.
This event featured two invigorating sessions: (1) JCIM Inspire which was specially designed for new members to understand JCI and how it relates to their career and life; and (2) Leadership Fast Track (JCI Discover and JCI Explore) which helped the members in enhancing their communication and problemsolving skills, developing leadership and exploring JCI’s core values that underpin JCI's mission.
Beyond the insightful seminars, it was a fantastic bonding and networking opportunity with fellow JCI members from other Area North local organizations. It was an event with tonnes of joy and excitement with engaging team building activities, ignite and bedtime story sessions as well as exploring the hidden food gems in Taiping. The connections forged here are sure to be a foundation for future collaborations and projects that will drive positive change in our communities
Here, JCI Kinta would like to take the chance to express a heartfelt thank you to JCI Taiping for hosting such a meaningful event, as well as to our members for their active participation in this event. Let's carry the knowledge learned and inspiration forward as we continue our journey towards creating a positive impact on the society and communities!
On 26 and 27 August 2023, JCI Kinta together with the MoU Partner, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) successfully organized “Aquila Cup 2023” at IPRO Sports Center, Putra Sentral Terminal in Kampar, Perak. This badminton tournament was a new annual flagship project by UTAR to foster sportsmanship and nurture sports talent while promoting a healthy lifestyle among the students and local community.

Here, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to UTAR for their invaluable partnership, and we are looking forward to more opportunities like this in future to further our mission of creating impactful change in our community.
Sharing an exhilarating experience JCI Kinta members had at Amazing Quest 5, a team-building activity organized by JCI Teluk Intan on 2 July 2023! This event was graced by the presence of Encik Muhammad Puhaz Saleh, the President of Majlis Belia Negeri Perak.
The event brought together five dedicated members to form a team and tackle eight exciting station games that have been set up around the charming town of Teluk Intan, Hilir Perak.
Participating in this station-game activity was more than just a day of fun; it was an opportunity to foster teamwork and forge unbreakable bonds among our fellow members. The challenges not only tested our skills and wit but also highlighted the incredible strength we possess when we work together towards a common goal.

Together with a dedicated and warm-hearted families from Penang as well as JCI Kinta members, we brought and donated daily necessities, extending a helping hand to the Orang Asli community.
Again, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Uncle Patrick for planning and leading this initiative. His unwavering dedication to community service was truly inspiring and became an example to JCI Kinta in bringing more positive impacts to the communities, especially those in need.
As we reflect on this meaningful journey under the project “Give a Helping Hand”, let us continue to leverage the momentum in putting together more community projects in future and be a beacon of light for our community
After a few months of planning, preparation and efforts from the organizing committee and different parties, we have finally reached the end of Bazaar Junior Perak 2023, the flagship project of JCI Kinta under the School of Hope series.
To recall, Bazaar Junior Perak 2023 was a Perak State Government Project jointly organized by JCI Kinta and Little Tauke, which featured a series of comprehensive learning programmes for kids aged between 6 and 12. This included Business Training, Corporate Visitation, Flea Market Day, and finally a Giving Back Day to mark the end of this programme with a meaningful good deed.
The Giving Back Day was conducted on 5th August 2023 at Kompleks Budi Mulia Nurul Huda. This event was attended by participating kids and parents to join us and witness this meaningful day together Other than making donations to the orphans out of the profit made by participants during the flea market day, we also carried out a few activities such as the August baby celebration, tree-planting session and kids bonding game, adding more joy and fun to everyone attended.
We always believe that empowering children with financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills at an early age is crucial in nurturing future leaders who are financially savvy and capable of driving economic growth. That is why and how the inspiration for organizing Bazaar Junior Perak comes as it not only equips youngsters with the knowledge to manage their finances responsibly but also instils an entrepreneurial mindset from a young age. By starting early, we lay the groundwork for a generation of future entrepreneurs who can contribute to their communities, and ultimately lead our nations towards a prosperous future.
Bazaar Junior Perak could never be a reality without the commitment of a group of dedicated organizing committees and passionate helpers. Therefore, JCI Kinta has organized an Appreciation Night on 21st July 2023 at UTAR Kampar Campus. Delicious meals, engaging bonding games, and prizes are provided as a token of appreciation to everyone who has poured their time and effort into making Bazaar Junior Perak a resounding success.
Moments like these remind us of the power of teamwork and the immense impact that can be achieved when we come together with a shared purpose. To every committee and helper involved, your dedication has not gone unnoticed You are the bedrock of our achievements, and we look forward to creating more memories together in the future.
In the spirit of unity and giving back to the community, JCI Kinta proudly joined forces with the Lions Club of Ipoh Midtown to host a Merdeka Blood Donation Drive in conjunction with Malaysia's 66th Independence Day on 31st August 2023. This meaningful event took place at the Centre Court of Ipoh Aeon Station 18. We were honoured to have YB Goh See Hua as our esteemed Guest of Honour, gracing us with his presence and underscoring the importance of such community-driven initiatives.
The day was brimming with activities aimed at fostering holistic well-being. Attendees were offered Free Health Screening, Free Mental Health Screening, Free Traditional Chinese Medicine screenings and Free Eye Check-ups. Besides, there were engaging Health and Anti-Scam talks from the professionals that empowered participants with valuable knowledge, while a dance performance and lucky draw further brought the overall event vibe to the next level.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our invaluable collaboration partner, the Lions Club of Ipoh Midtown, for their support and collaboration in putting together this event and making a difference in the lives of those in need. Our deepest appreciation also goes to AEON Station 18 for providing the venue, and to student volunteers from UTAR, and various government and non-government health organizations for their contributions towards this event.
Together, we have not only strengthened our bonds of friendship but also made a significant contribution to the nation's well-being Let's continue this spirit of unity and service as we look forward to even more impactful initiatives in the future.
While striving to bring forth positive impacts to society, it is important to take care of our well-being and relationships among our members Thus, JCI Kinta took the initiative to organise a few engaging General Member Meetings (GMMs), which aimed to foster connections and personal growth of our members.
For example, our recent GMM took on an exciting and casual twist in the form of a golf gathering at Royal Perak Golf Club on 19th July 2023
Then, on 26th August 2023, our GMM took a thrilling turn with a dodgeball gathering at the Master Badminton Club (MBC) Gunung Rapat, 1st floor.
Both GMM sessions welcomed both JCI Kinta members and non-members, offering a platform for networking, bonding, and personal growth.
Other than promoting a healthy lifestyle among the attendees, such sport GMM provided a casual yet engaging occasion for members and guests to expand their professional networks, exchange ideas and find inspiration for new projects and initiatives together.
Here, JCI Kinta would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our dedicated Organizing Chairman, Loong Kam Chuan organising the golf gathering and dodgeball gathering, as well as to all members for their active participation in the sport GMM.
As we move forward, let's continue to leverage the power of unity and shared experiences in driving our collective mission forward. Look forward to more successful and engaging gatherings in the future!
