JCI’s work with the UN SDG Action Campaign (formerly the UN Millennium Campaign) began in 2004, when JCI committed to advancing the UN Millennium Development Goals (UN MDGs). In 2015, JCI officially committed to the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals, a new set of 17 time-bound goals aimed at ending poverty, protecting the planet and ensuring prosperity and equality for all. JCI and the UN SDG Action Campaign work to motivate and empower young people to take targeted action and create sustainable results for the SDGs through campaigns related to the Global Day of Action and Global Festivalof Action for Sustainable Development.
