PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Nashville, The City of Music. North Nashville is the root of it all from jazz to Jefferson St., the North Nashville community is one that is rich in history, com munity, and culture. The community proved itself to be an economic and cul tural force until the construction of interstate I-40, which split the community. However, using themes of rhythm, our design reconnects, restores, and renews the North Nashville community by providing local residents with spaces to learn, and conduct business all for the improvement of the community. This was a group project, however, highlighted in this portfolio are my contributions to the final presentation, including: site analysis of the site, and surrounding area, spatial adjacency diagrams, and spatial relationship charts, as well as interior renderings.

In 2019, Ghana successfully hosted “The Year of Return,” which marked 400 years since enslaved Africans arrived in the United States. “The Year of Return,” celebrates the cumulative resilience of victims of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade who were scattered and displaced throughout the world. Many visitors decided to claim Ghana as their new home either full-time or for part of the year.
