At JC&A, giving back isn’t just something we do; it’s part of who we are. For nearly three decades, we have embraced civic responsibility, using teamwork and compassion to make a positive impact on our communities.
This commitment inspired the creation of Team IMPACT, which started in two cubicles at JC&A’s Quincy headquarters in 2011. Today, Team IMPACT has grown into a nationally renowned nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of children with life-threatening and chronic illnesses by pairing them with college athletic teams. Through these team-based partnerships, children gain resilience and essential skills, completing the healing process alongside supportive student-athletes who also gain invaluable perspectives on strength and perseverance.
Since its inception, Team IMPACT has expanded to three regional offices, a staff of 30, and advisory boards nationwide, facilitating over 4,000 matches at more than 800 colleges and universities across all 50 states. This life-changing program is core to our mission of “doing well by doing good”—a philosophy that extends beyond Team IMPACT to our other community initiatives.
Through JCAres, our employee-led philanthropic committee, we support numerous charities and nonprofits, including Heading Home, Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, The Corey C. Griffin Foundation, Special Olympics Massachusetts, Interfaith Social Services, Boston PAL, The One Hundred Club, Champions for Children’s Hospital, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation , and The Greg Hill Foundation .
