Deliberatelyselectinglightingelements toharmonizewiththeluxurioustextures ofsilkyscarvesandtheopulent ambianceofmarblefinishesaccented withgold,Icuratedanambiancethat enhancedtheallureofthediversescarf collectionondisplay.
Concept Statement

Throughoutmydesign,Iwasabletoaccomplishacalming oasisforpatientsthroughoutthecoolingcolorpalette.The bluesandgreenspairedwiththelightbrownnaturalwoods worktogetherthebringthepatientasenseoftranquility regardlessofwheretheyareinthefacility.Ichoseto incorporatechairsthanwouldnotonlybeanti-ligatureand safeforpatientsbutwouldallowforcomfortableseatingfor anextendedtimeifneeded.Theconsistencythroughoutthe spaceensurespatientsthatthecanfeelcalmandrelaxedin anenvironmentthatisminimalandnotfullofsurprises.

TheGoalofthisprojectwastocreate acommunityoutreachcenterwitha lobbyingfirmthatwasengagedin sharingnewsaninformationbased onatopicthatwefeltpassionate about.FormyprojectIdecidedto focusonthetopicofmentalhealth, specificallymentalhealthformilitary membersandtheirfamilies.Beinga militarychildIwasabletodeeply connectwiththistopicandenjoyed creatingaspacethatIfeltwould allowothersimpactedbythistopic toseekhelp,aswellasadvocatefor theimportanceofthisissue.

Problem Statement
Tocarefullycraftanenvironmentthatmeetsthediverseneedsof militaryfamilies,encompassingindividualsofvaryingages, backgroundsandexperiences.Tocreateaninclusivespacefor thoseseekingassistanceandsupportthroughthoughtfuldesign andstrategicplanningmyaimistocreateaspacethatnotonly meetscustomerspracticalneedsbutalsoevokesasenseof comfort,warmth,servingasaplacerepresentingcommunityfor allwhoenter.
ThedesignforTheHubisbasedonawarmwelcomingaesthetic, aimedatprovidingoccupantswithnotonlytranquilitybutalso comfort.Throughtheopenfloorplanincommonareaspaired withnaturaltexturesandsoftbrightcolors,TheHubstrivesto createanatmospherethatsoothesthesensesandfostersa senseofease.Asalobbyingfirmadvocatingformilitarymental healthandaimingtoprovidesupportforthesefamilies,TheHub recognizestheimportanceofspacesthatofferssupport.
