For Anthony, LEGO® has never been just a toy—it’s been a lifelong passion. He first discovered the colorful bricks at the age of four, building simple structures and letting his imagination run free. By ten, a babysitter handed him his first “adult” LEGO set after walking in on him proudly standing beside a life-size DUPLO creation. From that moment on, LEGO became more than play, it became part of who he is.
Today, Anthony channels that same joy into Bricks & Minifigs, where he serves the community of LEGO enthusiasts young and old. The store isn’t just about buying and selling sets, it’s about connection. “There’s a unique satisfaction that comes from clicking the final piece of a set, LEGO or not, into place,” Anthony says. “It’s a feeling of creativity, patience, and accomplishment. If you understand that feeling, you understand the community we serve.”
Anthony’s path to ownership wasn’t straightforward. After earning his high school diploma and some college coursework, he became a certified mortuary assistant. But his heart wasn’t in that career. Instead, he leaned into retail, spending two decades climbing the ranks from associate to supervisor and manager across multiple companies. That experience shaped the way he now runs his own business, with structure, care, and a people-first approach.
As a self-described Southern gentleman, Anthony weaves integrity, tradition, and hospitality into every corner of his store. He strives to create a friendly, welcoming environment where families feel comfortable spending time. “I want my store to be a place where you feel at home,” he explains, “with associates who are knowledgeable, approachable, and full of classic values.”
Of course, his favorite part of the job is the people—especially the kids. “Seeing their faces light up when they get a new set, or even their very first set, makes me unimaginably happy,” he says. “I know that feeling of awe, and I want to spread that joy.”
Anthony also has advice for aspiring store owners: build a team you trust. “Don’t do it by yourself,” he cautions. “I was stubborn at first, but once I started leaning on my team’s strengths, everything became easier.”
Born and raised in San Diego, Anthony now finds his true home with his wife and in the community he’s building, brick by brick. For him, Bricks & Minifigs is more than a store. It’s a place of creativity, connection, and shared joy.

Betsy and Trip Levert are living their best lives in their serene Terrabella home. Both raised on the Southshore of New Orleans, they made the move to the Northshore a few years after they were married. In November, they are celebrating their 33rd wedding anniversary—congratulations!
Trip has had quite an expansive career in the Greater New Orleans area. Currently, he serves as the President and CEO of United Lands Company, Inc., managing land for energy exploration and participating in real estate partnerships. Before relocating to Terrabella in 2016, he spent 20 years as a Senior Financial Analyst with Entergy. In stark contrast to desk jobs, his first position was as a pilot and flight instructor, which led to his entrepreneurial debut as he created Southeast Aviation.
Betsy worked as a mental health counselor (LPC) before they had their two daughters, then was an active full-time mom volunteering at the girls’ schools; she was active in the PTA, holding several positions. Along the way, she has always carried a love for philanthropy in her heart, serving on the boards of St. Charles Humane Society, NAMI, and, most recently, Big Sky C.A.R.E.S.
Their daughters, Zoe and Molly, moved with their parents to Terrabella when they were teenagers; both excelled in school and have graduated from college, Rice University and Loyola University, respectively. Zoe, 28, is the Vice President of Politan Group, and Molly, 24, currently works at Krewe and will be going back to Loyola for her MBA this fall.
Together, the four of them have created a home that
of their pets’ entertaining and sometimes challenging personalities.
meets their needs and checks all of their boxes. Box one, Betsy says, “We were able to be close to Trip’s aging parents, who had recently moved to Christwood.” Betsy and Trip felt extremely fortunate that they were able to spend a significant amount of time with Trip’s parents, especially as they began to have more needs. Many of their neighbors fondly remember Trip’s dad, John, who stayed with them during COVID after his wife, Anne, had passed.
Box two, they were much closer to Molly’s school, Christ Episcopal School. Box 3, they were able to move into a brand new, beautiful home with an amazing view of the water and a large nature preserve. “All four of us are huge animal lovers, and we’ve rescued and owned many cats and dogs (and frogs, turtles, ducks…) during the time we’ve lived on the Northshore,” Betsy says, relishing in each one
As their daughters moved into adulthood, the Levert’s have discovered new shared passions, while keeping the old ones as well. Keeping with tradition, they try to make their annual family beach trip to Florida each summer. But their new, favorite tradition, the family has formed over the past five years, has been a winter ski vacation to Colorado, where they are all enjoying their newfound love of snow skiing.
Today, the girls still live in New Orleans, which makes getting together for family time more doable. They regularly enjoy eating out—at their favorite restaurant Del Porto—and cooking together. Trip’s red beans and rice and beef stew are not only his favorite dishes to cook, but also the most delectable. Lately, he has been grinding and grilling fresh hamburgers! Zoe and her boyfriend, Brooks, k
enjoy cooking up Asian cuisine, and Molly is a skilled baker. So, you can imagine, their kitchen is radiating with a fusion of delicious and intoxicating smells.
And their stunning home, though it was beautiful the moment they moved in, was to them a work in progress as they wanted it customized to their specific, unique likings; so they started some extensive ‘fine tuning’ including fencing in the front yard, modifying the laundry and mudroom, screening in the rear patio, and adding a side ‘living’ trellis. To help the functionality of their home, they installed a whole-house generator, a metal roof, and repainted the entire house. For many of the home refinements, they used Mitchell Lange, along with Ernie Lala, Premier South Roofing, and Floor-It.
“We have lots of wonderful inside and outside areas we enjoy,” Betsy explains, “but we spend most of our time in the kitchen, or relaxing and visiting on the screened and front porches.” They love being home with their cats and Sabi, their dog; the animals love relaxing with their humans, too. Sabi and the cats, you can see in their tummy-up positions, feel peaceful at home in this tranquil atmosphere. Betsy and Trip are especially tickled, and the pets are especially grateful, when their loving neighbors come to visit the cats and give them little treats.
To say the least, Betsy and Trip are living the high life while laying low, comfortable, and fulfilled in a home they curated in a neighborhood most serene.

Stone Creek Club & Spa was designed to be far more than a typical health club. Blending wellness, leisure, and community, it creates Your Everyday Getaway—a sanctuary where members can unwind, recharge, and connect. Whether you’re enjoying a tranquil spa treatment, playing a competitive tennis match, or tackling an energizing group fitness class, every visit supports a life of vitality and wellbeing.
What sets Stone Creek apart is the breadth and quality of its amenities. The adult-only locker rooms offer a quiet retreat for recovery, complete with wet saunas, cold plunges, whirlpools, and showers stocked with premium essentials.
A full-service spa, on-site childcare, and more than 75 complimentary group fitness classes each week give members endless options for self-care and convenience. Outdoors, the property shines with a temperature-regulated lap pool, a resort-style leisure pool perfect for summer relaxation, 14 hydro-clay tennis courts, pickleball, and a scenic walking trail—all beautifully landscaped for a resort-like feel. After a workout, guests can savor a postexercise smoothie or healthy meal at the Stone Creek Café or sip coffee from PJ’s while catching up with friends.
Luxury at Stone Creek lies in the details. Infrared-heated yoga classes, well-stocked vanity areas, and the club’s signature eucalyptus-infused cold towels, an enduring member favorite, transform routine workouts into spa-like experiences. Every element is curated to make each visit feel like a personal retreat.
Personalization is another hallmark of the club. Certified tennis professionals, experienced personal trainers, skilled spa therapists, and dynamic group fitness instructors bring nationally accredited credentials and decades of expertise. Whether your goals involve strength, flexibility, recovery, or overall wellness, these specialists craft individualized plans to help you thrive.
Stone Creek also cultivates a vibrant calendar of seasonal events that strengthen community ties. Highlights for fall and winter include:
Barktober Fest on October 1, a dog adoption celebration with Stone Creek covering adoption fees.
A festive Holiday Market November 17–18 featuring multiple vendors.
A lively Holiday Kickoff on December 2 with music, refreshments, and light bites—all open to the public.
Members consistently praise the club’s impeccable atmosphere and attentive staff. “It is the nicest club I have ever used and far ahead of any other gym around,” writes Ronnie S., a continuous gym goer. Erica Y., another happy exerciser, adds, “I especially love the locker room with the sauna—10/10 would recommend.” Longtime member Emily B. calls Stone Creek her “sanctuary,” crediting expert trainers and a supportive community with helping her heal and grow.
With its thoughtful design, luxurious amenities, and warm community spirit, Stone Creek truly delivers a premium experience that makes every visit feel like a getaway.
Your guide to keeping your home beautiful, comfortable, and ready for the season.
1. Seal the Gaps Before the Chill Arrives
Even in South Louisiana, fall can bring cool snaps. Check weatherstripping around doors and windows. A few minutes with a caulk gun or foam sealant can keep the warm air in and your energy bill down.
2. Mind Your Gutters
Autumn leaves are charming until they clog your gutters. Clear them now to avoid water backup, roof damage, or foundation issues when the rains come.
3. Give Your HVAC Some Love
Your system worked hard this summer. Replace filters and schedule a tune-up before cooler nights settle in. A well-maintained unit will last longer and run more efficiently.
Shorter days mean more reliance on exterior lights. Replace burned out bulbs and consider adding motion sensor fixtures for both safety and curb appeal.
If you plan to entertain, now’s the time to tackle those small home upgrades—fresh paint in the dining room, new cabinet hardware, or a revamped guest room. The right touches make gatherings memorable. At J Hand Homes, we believe a well-cared-for home is a happy home. Whether you’re dreaming up a new custom build or perfecting the one you have, our team is here to help you bring it to life.
When TerraBella first broke ground in 2008, our vision was clear: to create a neighborhood that was more than streets and houses, a true village where neighbors connect, nature is respected, and quality of life is central. Almost two decades later, that vision continues to guide every decision we make.
Unlike a typical subdivision, TerraBella is a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) inspired by the principles of New Urbanism and charming small towns of the past. That means it was designed with people in mind, not just cars and lots. Sidewalks link every home to the square, parks, and trails. Porches face the street to spark conversation. Nature is interwoven into the design, with a lake, greenspaces, and walking paths that invite residents to enjoy the outdoors and children to play. Architecture follows timeless traditions, so that the neighborhood ages gracefully, looking as beautiful tomorrow as it does today.
TerraBella remains not only a beautiful place to live, but a complete community to enjoy. Behind the scenes, the TerraBella Sales and Development office is where you’ll find the people working daily to bring this vision to life. Seamus Loman, who has been with TerraBella since year one, represents the developer and continues to guide the project with a steady hand and long-term vision. Clare Rogers, who joined more than a year ago, leads sales, manages the office, and works closely with our events team to support the neighborhood’s lively calendar of gatherings. Together, they help ensure TerraBella grows in ways that honor its original vision while embracing the evolving needs of its builders, clients and residents.
Our role as the developer is not just to build, but to steward the community as it grows. We talk often with homeowners, builders, and business owners because we believe that listening to neighbors is how TerraBella will continue to thrive. This collaboration has helped shape a place that is welcoming, vibrant, and built to last.
The heart of TerraBella is our town square. Today, it is already home to a cozy coffee, ice cream and pastry shop. Yet, the square is still evolving and that’s what makes life here so unique. Part of the TerraBella lifestyle is watching the community grow in thoughtful ways, with new businesses, shops, and services that enhance everyday living. Just as porches and sidewalks encourage connection between neighbors, our commercial growth is designed to add to the richness of daily life, whether it’s walking to dinner, meeting a friend for coffee, or supporting a local boutique. As the village continues to mature, we are committed to fostering this kind of growth so that
In the end, TerraBella is about quality, legacy and sense of place. The homes, the shops, the parks, and the square are all part of something bigger: a community built to be cherished not only by today’s neighbors, but by generations to come. Together, we are crafting a village that will stand the test of time. A place where life is not just lived, but truly enjoyed.
Entrepreneurs spend a lifetime pouring their time, energy, and resources into building their businesses in hopes that it will give their family future opportunities. But while entrepreneurs are great at what they do, they are not always great at setting up the business for a successful transition. Pulling in the right resources to help you prepare a business for sale or transition is the next best step.
The key to building a business that carries on to the next generation comes down to one thing: preparation. Many owners wait until it is too late to think about succession, only to discover they do not have a transferable asset.
To turn your business into a true legacy, you must:
1. Lock down vendor accounts to ensure continuity.
2. Protect client relationships so trust remains after you step away.
3. Memorialize your policies before they are forgotten.
4. Document daily procedures into SOPs that anyone can follow.
5. Secure the right legal structure and agreements to protect both you and your successors.
At Arena, our Business Advisory Services combine the legal framework and operational strategy to help you scale, protect, and eventually transition your business—whether that’s to a buyer, your children, or a trusted partner. Because your life’s work is more than just “what you did for a living.” It is your legacy.

• BOOST CURB APPEAL
Rake leaves, trim shrubs, and add a seasonal touch with a wreath or potted mums by the door.
• ADD COZY ACCENTS
Think throw blankets, pillows, or a glowing fireplace. Subtle autumn scents—apple, cinnamon, or pumpkin—set the mood.
• CHECK SYSTEMS
Service your heating unit, clean gutters, and inspect the roof. Preventative care assures buyers your home is move-in ready.
• STAGE SMART
Neutral décor with just a hint of fall charm keeps your space inviting without distraction.
With thoughtful preparation, your home can stand out in today’s market and capture buyers before year’s end.
Hanna and Hugo are a dynamic Frenchie duo who’ve brought ten years, and counting, of love, laughs, and lizard-hunting adventures to their family. Hanna, a fawncolored elder with a calm soul, has been part of the household since she was a pup. She’s laid back, loves a good belly rub, and knows exactly how she likes things — especially when it comes to avoiding any ear-touching. Outdoors, she turns into a serious lizard detective, always on patrol in the backyard.
Hugo, her younger brother in both age and spirit, is a white Frenchie with a striking black eye patch, with a personality to match. Born deaf, his family didn’t realize his hearing loss until three days after bringing him home. By then, he had already stolen their hearts. Since then, they’ve learned to communicate through hand signals, which Hanna has surprisingly picked up on, too. Despite his deafness, Hugo is the loudest one in the house, often “talking” up a
storm and breaking into spontaneous zoomies that leave everyone in stitches.
While Hanna prefers the quiet life and a comfy corner of the couch, Hugo is full of energy and affection, especially towards his mama, who he is never far from. He loves blueberries, and, when he’s thirsty, he’ll politely bring you his water bowl to let you know.
Together, they represent everything their family loves about French Bulldogs: compact size, big personalities, and endless entertainment. Since falling in love with the breed in 2006, Hanna and Hugo are the third and fourth Frenchies to join the family, more than living up to the legacy of the Frenchies who preceded them. Lovable, loyal, and endlessly funny, they make every day better just by being themselves.
Is your dog always on top of you, touching you at all times? These are signs of hyper-attachment, also called separation anxiety. Symptoms can include destructiveness, hypersalivation, hyper-panting, pacing, and more.
How to Handle Your Pets’ Anxiety
• Have realistic expectations. Set small goals. There’s no “magic pill” or easy fix. They will get better with dedication and time.
• Identify their triggers. Write them down, and expose them to it; if the garage door or getting your purse makes them anxious, open and close the garage throughout the day. Take your purse on and off your shoulder several times or jingle your keys everywhere you go. This desensitizes them.
• Daily exercise releases their endorphins. If you can’t walk or throw the ball, hire a neighbor-kid!
• If your dog gets upset when you leave the house, freeze a Kong rubber toy filled with peanut butter or canned food. Give it to them every day, ten minutes before you leave. Giving them a great treat distracts them especially if given reliably at the same time, every day.
Medication + Behavior Plans
Often it takes a combination of medications and behavioral modifications to see real changes in your pet.
• There are safe medications with very few side effects you can choose for your pet.
• Plan little challenges for your pup throughout your day: five minutes of obedience training, puzzles, and food-driven toys.
• Meds may not be forever, often taken for a period to increase your pet’s chances of feeling better!
• Don’t worry about medications changing your pet’s personality. They should be comfy and happy. When anxious, pets feel like a bear is chasing them. That’s not what we want.
Call us today to make a “behavior appointment” for your pup. Clients and patients do make huge strides! Don’t wait!

A Bright Mind and a Heart for Leadership
Reagan, a senior at Fontainebleau High School, is wrapping up her high-school career with remarkable achievements and an even brighter future. Ranked in the top three percent of her class and serving as a Fontainebleau ambassador, National Honor Society member, and candidate for Student of the Year, she has balanced rigorous academics with a full slate of leadership roles and community activities. She will graduate on May 18, 2025, ready to begin the next chapter of her journey.
A natural problem-solver, Reagan has always been drawn to math, a passion that shaped her decision to pursue biomedical engineering. She plans to attend a four-year university in Louisiana, Mississippi, or Alabama, where she will work toward a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and, eventually, a master’s or even a doctorate. Her ultimate goal is to specialize in neuroscience research, using her love of numbers and science to improve lives.
Reagan’s leadership abilities have flourished through the Fontainebleau High School Crimson Colorguard, where she has been a dedicated member for four years and captain for the past two. Long rehearsals, high-energy competitions, and late-night bus rides have bonded her with her teammates and sharpened her ability to guide a group toward shared success. “I have dedicated so much to my team, and it truly has paid off,” she says, reflecting on the discipline, creativity, and camaraderie that colorguard has given her.
Beyond colorguard, Reagan serves as a senior leader on the school’s leadership team and participates in its selective leadership program. She has learned that careful planning, encouragement, and a willingness to listen are the keys to inspiring any organization. These experiences have given her the confidence to lead both in and out of the classroom.
Faith and family round out her life. An active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, she enjoys weekly Bible studies and fellowship events. Outside of school, Reagan values time with her younger brother Andrew and sister Melanie, whether they’re playing board games, running errands, or experimenting with hairstyles and nail polish. She also loves cooking, baking, crafting, and playing with her dog, Taco—simple pleasures that keep her grounded.
With her academic excellence, strong sense of purpose, and gift for leadership, Reagan is poised to make a lasting impact. Whether in a research lab or a leadership role, she is ready to turn her passion for STEM and her dedication to others into a future as inspiring as her high-school career.
