This 4 floor house was designed on a typical straight terrain of the residential area taking advantage of it’s geometry to create a large open home.
In the ground floor, the social area was designed thinking on the morning sun of the east so this space has a huge glass wall to let it get in and glow up the area. On the rooftop there is a barbecue place with a nice view of the town.
The project for this single-family home complies with a program for habitability of a family of 5 people, with an older couple and three children.
In the first instance we decided that there should be a space for work or study where a client can be received, as we also prioritize living “public” spaces linking them with the outside and hierarchizing them with dou-
ble heights. The main living space is linked to the patios and at the same time it is understood as a single space in connection with the dining room, next to the backyard, where is the pool.
For this project we used a graphic monochrome sistem where we describe over the drawing according to the scale the different construction references.
We specified in every construction sheet the references of symbols and materials we used for all over the project with a number or letter that could be the structural, or termination material.
The main premise was the connection between the outdoors and the social area, so we investigate how to integrate the spaces thinking about the uses of the family that will live in the house. We took advantage of a large space in the ground floor to “liberate” the space for different uses on every day.

This is a project for a house in a suburban town of the city where is prioritized the social area and the open spaces for social meetings.
The building has 2 levels, in the ground floor there are social areas and in the upper level are the rooms with their corresponding servant spaces.
We have designed the exterior area with a barbecue space and a swimming pool too. The project aims to to solve

the daily habitat in an elegant and simple way. The volumetric resolution of a sober character and white colors is contrasted by the light and warm materials of the interior, which give comfort to the living spaces and is projected on its transparencies. There is an internal courtyard that divides the two main blocks and it works as a catalyst for sunlight by being located facing the north, and provides comfort conditions
to social spaces..

The batch is located in the eastern limitofSantaFecitywithproximityto thecoastlineofthecity,theport,the shoppingcenterandthehistoriccenter,isaccessedbySaraFaisalst.or Red Cross st. In the immediate contextoftheareaarelocatedbuildings thatdonotexceedagroundfloorand twolevelsinmostbutsomebuildings areunderconstructioninheight,the buildingisnexttoasmallgreenspace and the avenue.
As design premises, it was important to promote the visuals to the east for its landscape placing in this orientation the social spaces of each home and large balconies to observe the extensive green space and the river. The tower has 16 levels where it is located on the ground floor the entrance hall and the garages, on both levels
above there are common recreation spaces (games room, cinema, gym, pool and meeting room).
From the third level up to level n° 16, there are the apartments for 4 or 5 inhabitants respectively. The main objective was to understand geometry as a resource, tool and control in the design process, aimed at shaping the global
structure of space. Investigate rationality and constructive logic regarding the definition of space and form.
Reflect on the materiality of the proposal as a support for the space: opacities and transparencies, walls and openings, vertical and horizontal planes, etc. As a response to language definition.

ARCHITECTURE DRAWINGS
The project is located in Bairro da Penha, in the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
It arises from the study of the urban sector where an area is identified with a predominance of residential uses devoid of spaces for collective use, low buildings and a high rate of use
of urban land. According to the analysis, the neighborhood has a great connectivity with the administrative center and commercial areas and its located next to a large park called Ari Barroso.
It is a mixed-use building, located on the corner of a “double” batch of 16m x 30m that is made up of a ground floor for commercial uses and a bar, in addition to the access hall of the building where there is a single vertical circulation that articulates the entire complex. On the first floor there is an area
for offices and on the second level a sector designed for the residents of the building where 2 barbecue areas and a reading area are located, designed as a space of concentration.
The roof is made of light materiality and ends in a concrete gutter where it is evacuated some rainwater in
tanks located on the last level of the building, this is due to a solution for the shortage of water in the city of Rio de Janeiro, especially in the periphery. The purified water tank is located on the vertical circulation top and is located below it the elevator machine room.
