ABOUT THE CLEAR CREEK-AMANA JAZZ ENSEMBLE

ABOUT JOEY SCHNOEBELEN

Joey Schnoebelen is the Associate Principal Trumpet with the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra and 2nd trumpet with the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony. For the past three years, he has performed over 400 concerts with the international touring ensemble Tim Zimmerman and The King’s Brass. Joey is a member of the Quad Cities based pop/funk band “Ten of Soul” and has performed with national acts including Mannheim Steamroller and The Four Tops.

He writes and arranges music for his jazz group The Joey Schnoebelen Quintet and performs with this group throughout the Midwest. As an educator, he maintains his own private studio of trumpet and jazz students. Joey holds degrees in Music Performance and Accounting from The University of Iowa. While at the University of Iowa, he was selected to the Disney All-American College Band and was a national finalist in Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Jazz Challenge.
