ABOUT KOLBE SCHNOEBELEN

Kolbe is a senior at The University of Iowa pursuing a degrees in Trombone Performance and Accounting. He currently tours with the nationally acclaimed King's Brass led by Tim Zimmerman. He was selected to the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy under the direction of Christian McBride, Jazz Band of America, Honor Band of America, and competed as a semifinalist in both the solo and excerpt competitions at the Southeast Trombone Symposium. Kolbe is an active performer locally and has played with the Joey Schnoebelen Quintet and Vivian Shanley Quartet for First Friday Jazz on KCCK, the Clinton Street Quartet, Jim McDonough and his Orchestra, Blake Shaw’s Big(ish) Band, and the Iowa Brass Band.
