About the Corridor Jazz Project

The Corridor Jazz Project turns 18 in 2025, the same age as many of our musicians! The program has changed and grown a lot since we began in 2008 with just eight schools. One thing that hasn’t changed is that every year, I am simply knocked out by the quality of each band and the songs they bring to our recording session. Big school or small, everyone brings their “A” game to the studio, and you can certainly tell as you listen to each song.

As KCCK celebrates our 50th year in 2025, it’s such a pleasure to also showcase a record twenty-one bands in the Corridor Jazz Project! Welcome to our twenty-first school, joining the program for the first time, West Liberty Varsity Jazz directed by Ashley Smith.
