My fashion photography work is an exploration of the Japanese art of Kintsugi, which is the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold, silver, or platinum, thus highlighting the damage and transforming it into something beautiful. Through my work, I aim to show how overcoming adversity and past trauma can make us stronger and more beautiful as individuals. My pieces reflect themes of mental health, recovery and resilience.
Using a range of media including collage, photography, styling and printing, I tell a visual story of this concept. My selection of prints, ceramics, photographs and the book are carefully crafted to showcase the beauty in imperfection and the power of transformation. Through my work, I hope to inspire and empower others to embrace their own struggles and find beauty in their unique journey.
