FIRE ALARM MAINTENANCE CHECKLIST Verify to ensure that none of your detectors, call points or panels are suffering from physical damage. Make sure the call point is available and detectors do not have objects within 500mm. Conduct a regular check of your fire alarm each week to ensure that the sound and panel are functioning properly. Check the vented, main battery in your system for any signs of damage. Check the status of your alarm on the panel for control. Examine the components and structures to determine if they are damaged. Note any issues in your logbook, and then contact an expert. INSPECTIONS ON YOUR FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS MUST BE CONDUCTED FREQUENTLY TO ENSURE THAT THEY PROVIDE THE BEST PROTECTION AGAINST FIRE. PER BRITISH STANDARDS, A FIRE ALARM SYSTEM MUST BE CHECKED EVERY WEEK.
