JAVITS JUNIORS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Supporting New Yorkers of all ages is a central part of the Javits Center’s mission, and that’s why we were proud to have distributed $60,000 in college scholarships to six students from high schools on Manhattan’s West Side.

In the fifth year of the Javits Juniors Scholarship Program, each student was awarded a $10,000 scholarship after winning an essay competition among their peers A ceremony was held in the Crystal Palace with the winning students from the Urban Assembly School of Design and Construction and the High School for Fashion Industries, along with school officials, friends and family members Many thanks to the Marian B and Jacob K Javits Foundation and our business partners – Emerald, Informa and MetroMultiMedia – which donated the scholarship funds, as well as the New York City Department of Education and Fund for Public Schools which administered the funds
