4645+ lives were lost due to Hurricane María and its aftermath. The project provides a sense of refuge and seeks shelter all visitors. The goal is to initiate a process of healing through the peaceful enviroment of the sanctuary hall and memorial. Hopefully, those who experience the place will obtain a long awaited sense of closure to their loss.
