JANA HEALTH CENTER GENERATING A LANDMARK IN TIJUANA MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT TYPE: HOSPITAL, HOTEL, ASSISTED LIVING, OFFICES AND COMMERCE. LOCATION: URBAN AREA, TIJUNA, MEXICO. COLLABORATORS: GUILLERMO CALDERON, JESUS ARTURO ROBLES, SOFIA VIANEY ROSALES


IN CONTEXT
The project is located in the Tijuana River Urban Zone, on a site of approximately 2,500 m2, where it is proposed to develop a program for a complex with 5 uses: Hospital, medical offices, assisted living, hotel and retail, with a total of 62,000 m2 of construction, seeking to expand the supply of hospital services in the northern part of the border and generating a new landmark in one of the most walkable avenues in Tijuana.
The city of Tijuana is in a stage of transformation and revolt due to the great move ment of masses in the northern border of Mexico. Offering its national and foreign resi dents spaces such as restaurants, bars, clubs and even vertical real estate for different uses. It is worth mentioning that the hospitality sector in the border is growing consid erably, since the low cost of its services benefits both its visitors and its residents.

Atlampa has only 2100 m2 of public green area, so the de velopment of the park will contribute to a growth of a little more than double the green area to develop a connection between the inhabitants to develop their activities within it. CONNECTION WITH THE COMMUNITY.

For this project 40 apartments were developed thinking about the distribution of spaces and with a philosophy of reflection on how we live today, the project had the challenge of developing an environment of coexistence between the contemporary and the past, through a proposed facade and a heritage cataloged facade.
