01 Living Room

As part of my interior design internship, I had the opportunity to design the living room of a 4BHK home be onging to a doctor family. The clients were fun- oving individuals with a deep appreciation for modern architecture and a bold approach to colors and patterns Their vision was to create a space that was vibrant yet simple, contemporary yet rich in character.

Since contemporary design is f uid and open to interpretation, I focused on establishing a refined aesthetic through a strategic use of color and materials The design revolved around a single dominant color, creating a striking focal point, complemented by golden furnishings that seamlessly tied the furniture elements together. To maintain a sense of balance, the walls and artwork were kept minimal, al owing the space to feel open and elegant

Geometric shapes played a key role in defining the visual language of the room. Every piece, from furniture to wall paneling, was custom-designed to fit the aesthetic vision, ensuring a cohesive and personalized interior The result was a sophisticated yet lively living room that reflected the clients modern sensibilities while offering a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The design prioritizes comfort, fostering an interactive atmosphere where family and guests can engage effortlessly. Natural ventilation and abundant sunlight enhance the ambiance, streaming in through a large front yard-facing window This not only brightens the space but also establishes a seamless connection between indoors and nature, promoting relaxation and warmth

The aim was to create a contemporary space that feels rich, interactive, and simp e. The space was kept open and well-ventilated with natural light from large windows facing the front yard A bold focus color deep emerald green was used strategically, while the rest of the palette and elements were kept subt e and sophisticated.

Design Elements & Layout

The layout inc udes a sectional sofa in emerald green, enhancing comfort and vibrancy.

Two ottomans and a center coffee table placed over a rug in the main seating zone encourage interaction and functionality

A floor lamp and tall indoor plant were added to soften the corners and bring in natural textures

02 Salon

The Healing Leaf

For this 1505 sq. ft. salon in Ambala City, Haryana, designed exclusively for women, the primary focus was to align with the franchise’s core philosophy "satisfy the customers." Understanding that relaxation is key in beauty and wellness spaces, the design concept revolved around three essential elements:

1.A Calming Environment – Given that areas like facial and massage rooms require tranquility, I curated a layout and material palette that fostered relaxation Soft lighting, muted tones, and comfortable furnishings ensured a soothing atmosphere for clients.

2.Bright, Sensitivity-Driven Colors – To create a sense of warmth and peace, the color scheme incorporated hues associated with sensitivity and serenity These tones added vibrancy without overwhelming the senses, making the space feel inviting and harmonious.

3 Integration of Plants – To enhance livability and reinforce the salon’s organic theme, indoor plants were strategically placed throughout the space. This biophilic approach not only purified the air but also created a refreshing ambiance, connecting customers to nature while they indulged in self-care. By weaving these elements together, the salon was transformed into a rejuvenating retreat where customers could unwind and enjoy a truly satisfying experience.

Muted pastels like lavender and aqua establish a calm, spa-like ambiance.

Deep greens and olive tones ground the space, connecting it to nature and promoting a sense of wellness.

Dusty pinks introduce warmth and friendliness without overwhelming the senses

This blend of colors stimulates creativity while maintaining a serene and welcoming reception experience.

Design Intent:

The reception area was designed to reflect the Healing Leaf s brand values: nature, wellness, and vibrancy

Curved furniture shapes and playful color combinations enhance the inviting atmosphere Greenery, artistic wall displays, and layered lighting complete a dynamic yet soothing environment.

The core concept was to craft a multifunctional and connected space that blends physical activity with relaxation and visual appeal. Rather than following the typical industrial gym model, the design focused on openness, fluid movement, and sensory experience Different zones ranging from high-intensity workout areas to calming lounge corners are united through a cohesive design language that includes bold lighting, artistic accents, and earthy materials. This non-traditional approach not only enhances functionality but also encourages a more holistic fitness culture, making the space attractive and welcoming to the youth of Dadvi and surrounding regions.

Located in the heart of Dadvi, Haryana, this gym interior project was envisioned as more than just a fitness facility—it was designed as a modern lifestyle space that redefines the traditional workout environment. Catering to a younger, dynamic audience, the space integrates wellness, connectivity, and design aesthetics to create an atmosphere that motivates and inspires. The aim was to move away from conventional gym layouts and create a unique environment that feels engaging, energizing, and comfortable for both fitness enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.

Landscape Design I Frontyard & Backyard

The front yard of this residential home was thoughtfully designed to turn a small area into a charming, green welcome space At its heart stands a stone-clad focal wall with integrated lighting, offering both texture and a warm, inviting glow in the evenings. Surrounding this feature are curated planters filled with native, lowmaintenance plants that add seasonal color and vibrancy

Frontyard Design

A blend of soft green patches and stone pathways provides visual interest and usability, making the space not only beautiful but functional The careful balance of hardscape and softscape elements creates a harmonious, low-footprint design that enhances curb appeal while inviting residents to pause and enjoy the outdoors

Backyard Design

In the backyard, the design centered around creating a multifunctional yet tranquil retreat within a limited space A beautifully crafted stone-clad feature wall with soft ambient lighting acts as the focal point, bringing depth and warmth to the environment. Native plants in sleek planters line the edges, adding lush greenery and maintaining low maintenance needs. A central green patch is complemented by stone pathways and minimalist seating, offering a perfect spot for quiet relaxation Additionally, a covered laundry area with a modern, weather-resistant roof has been seamlessly integrated into the design, providing practical utility without compromising aesthetics The thoughtful balance of function, greenery, and texture makes this backyard both serene and smartly organized.

The concept was to create a serene courtyard centered around green spaces, open areas, two small ponds, and comfortable seating for relaxation.

Lush, flowering plants in vibrant hues bring seasonal charm, while a small pond with a charming bridge adds a sense of play and tranquility serving both as a visual delight and a playful feature for the family’s child Strategically placed seating platforms and open sitting nooks invite morning meditations or evening conversations, surrounded by a refreshing palette of greenery. 08 Hotel Reception

This reception area was designed for a 3-star hotel with a strong emphasis on sustainability and greenery, aligning with the owner ’ s vision of offering guests a refreshing and eco-conscious first impression. Spanning a generous 3,630 square feet, the challenge was to create a design that not only felt warm and welcoming but also made intelligent use of the expansive space without compromising its openness or balance The focus was on integrating natural elements with functionality, creating a modern yet grounded ambiance that speaks to both aesthetics and purpose.

To bring harmony and structure to the vast reception area, small reflecting ponds were placed on either end, anchoring the layout and adding a calming presence. Between them, seating sofas were arranged to face a custom-designed central planter, the focal point of the space. Crafted in the shape of an infinity symbol, the planter is a sculptural element with varying elevations some raised, others sunken filled with a rich mix of indoor plants.

The main elements of the design revolve around lush plants, user comfort, functional zoning, calming water features, natural ventilation, and the use of sustainable materials throughout the space.

This central piece not only adds visual intrigue but also acts as a natural barrier, subtly dividing the reception desk and entrance from the seating area, ensuring both openness and privacy. Unique sustainable touches, like dedicated feedback stands placed on each side of the reception desk, further enhance the functionality while reinforcing the green concept. The result is a reception that is one-of-a-kind functional, visually striking, and environmentally thoughtful.

As part of the design process, sectional details were carefully developed and analyzed to understand the spatial relationships, elevation differences, material layering, and functional flow within the reception These detailed sections played a crucial role in refining the design especially for the custom infinity-shaped planter, elevated seating zones, and integration of water features ensuring precision, structural clarity, and a seamless execution of the overall vision

The design emphasized the use of natural and eco-friendly materials to align with the sustainable vision of the hotel Locally sourced stone cladding was used on feature walls to bring texture and an earthy warmth to the space, while a vibrant green wall introduced a vertical element of living greenery, improving air quality and enhancing visual appeal. Additional materials such as reclaimed wood, terracotta planters, and breathable natural fabrics for upholstery further supported the eco-conscious approach, making the reception not only visually pleasing but environmentally responsible.

Port Credit

I designed the public space at Port Credit to blend nature, comfort, and accessibility, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment. With green zones, shaded seating, playful forms, and a water feature, the space offers a safe, welcoming area for relaxation, play, and community gatherings

The concept centers on creating a nature-connected, inclusive public space that balances sa By integrating natural elements, playful forms, and accessible design, the space invites peo gathe l d f ll

The proposal for open public space at Erin Mills Town Centre, started from cutting the portions in forms of curves as to balance with the curves of site, then defining the spaces according to various activities and purposes that vary according to the neighborhood and finally defining the materials and shaping the final form. All and all, this concept is going to define our major site concept which is “active ground” that helped us to define the space activities and how we can offer every corner of the place to make it active, playful ad a space for all

Town Centre

In major public place, many activities are being proposed like basketball court & structured seating for people tobe active and relax at the same site. A water body to be turned into skating rink in winters. Green areas to balance the built scape and landscape Also, the trees are providing shades at various locations such as step seating Another portion includes open stage area for concerts to happen and a park attached to this. A long ramp connecting two corners of the space.

Port Credit is Mississauga s lakeshore portion situated at the south-central part of the city at the mouth of the Credit River on the north shore of Lake Ontario.

It is quaint, there are a few historic buildings and a lighthouse on Lakeshore Blvd. Its main intersection is Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road, about 0 6 kilometers (0.37 mi) east of the river.

Picturesque Port Credit is Mississauga’s “Village on the Lake ” & “Always On, Always Electric!” district.

It is one of Mississauga’s top cultural, entertainment and culinary districts, boasting world-class restaurants and award-winning festivals and events

Active Ground Spaces, Nature Connected Areas, and Light House Design make up the fundamental theme. To offer the site a unique look and boost their aesthetic appeal, forms are experimented with Buildings can be joined at their top floors so that they are connected and the earth's rotation is not impeded. It is suggested that ground floors serve as retail space to expand ground areas. Additionally, initiatives are made to combine "nature with human" purposes. By including more trees and plants, using organic building materials, and creating outdoor recreation places that are near to nature, this can be achieved Lighthouse will function as a marker in keeping with the site's identity.

STORE ROOM

During my job at Vasuraj Designers, I prepared detailed CAD plans for a 5BHK residential home, focusing on efficient space planning and functional zoning.
