THETA Theta is a cosmetic brand that offers makeup products that are made of flower extract, which are gentle to skin.

Theta products are not harsh to sensitive skin, therefore the key emotion is soft and gentle.

FESTIVAL OF DESIGN 2017 Festival of Design is a new design fair by Design Republic, to embrace the communal aspect of design to be inclusive, inter-disciplinary and innovative. Festival of Design places an emphasis on collaborative projects and communal engagement inspired by the notion of community and exchange, thus reinforcing Design Republic as an innovative platform advocating clothes, food, living, culture– the four fundamental criteria to communicate a better way of modern living.

Advertising Design

GOOD BRICKS MAKE GREAT BUILDINGS Inspired by iconic monuments and buildings which were built centuries ago and are still standing strong today, I wanted to exagerate the durability of LEGO bricks and also as a metaphor to make the brand stand out from its competitors thus I came up with a series of advertisement - replicas of well known monuments and historical buildings. For instance, the Pyramid of GIza, the japanese shrine’s arch that did not collapse after the nuclear bomb, and Athens famous governmental building Parthenon, built by LEGO bricks to portray the durability of LEGO.

Publication Design

NOTCOT MAGAZINE Magazine related to skateboard and street culture.

Inspired by an installation from an exhibition I visited in 2016, I recreated my very own version based on the exhibition theme. This is illustration is adapted to the magazine’s front cover.

BRASSERIE VERKET Brasserie Verket is the kind of place you’re proud to take out-of-towners.

It’s the kind of place where last night is recalled over pancakes. Where the portions are big, but the egos are small. Where you don’t have to impress anyone and you can come as you are. We believe that when you care about the people you’re cooking for, it shows in the food. And what we serve is comfort food with flair.

THE FLUFFY WHISK The Fluffy Whisk is a home-based bakery business, specializing in customized cakes and desserts. It is a commissioned project which I helped my friend to brand her business. I also designed the interface of her website as a practice.

3D Visualisation

CAMERA ADVERTISEMENT

This is a video of my final project for my 3D visualization class. We are required to produce a 30 second promotional video for any camera of our choice so I went for an instax camera. For the ad, I added a touch of fun and energetic tone into my work because I am targeting young female audience.

For this project, I used 3D Maya to visualize and animated the camera and Adobe After Effects for simple explanation and 2D animations.

FIT IN PROJECT Fit In is an online platform that connects the homeless to more opportunities, where the public list odd jobs and for the homeless(Fit In members) to take up odd jobs, to sustain themselves.

Colour selection Blue is reliable and responsible. Blue inspires trust, it is non-threatening and shows persistence. In context of national flag, blue stands for unity of Malaysians. I aslo involve the sky to portray that opportunities are unlimited.

Fit In Kit When Fit In members are registered as a Fit In member, they will be given a welcome kit.

I wanted it to look like a curated box, so I used the mailerbox and also added a few compartments that to puts everything in place in the box. The welcome kit that contains a Fit In member identification card, a mobile phone and phone charger, a Fit In T-shirt and a Fit In bag.

CHARACTER ILLUSTRATION This is a personal project which I challenge myself to come up with a series of illustration that are related to fashion and inspiring public figures.

Fashion is a way of expressing oneself and I always envy those who are brave to be a public spotlight with edgy fashion and eye catching hair color. The series features street snaps from Seoul Fashion Week 2017, Korean celebrities, western street fashion, internet viral memes and inspiring movie characters from the latest movies.

SInce it is a series, I created a consistency for it. I think this is a great practice as I obsesrve and illustrate what I love while experimenting different styles.
