因應全球永續觀光的發展趨勢，交通部觀光局推動「Tourism 2020—臺灣永續觀光發

展方案」，訂定 2019 年為「小鎮漫遊年」及 2020 年為「脊梁山脈旅遊年」宣傳主軸， 體育項目與觀光旅遊更能相互結合。彰化縣田中鎮東倚八卦山脈、西面彰化平原，擁 有一片廣闊肥 沃的稻田，物產豐饒、富有多元產業與人文景觀，向來有臺灣米倉的美 譽，亦為深具發展性的在地小鎮。

透過地方政府與民間協會的共同努力，「臺灣米倉田中馬拉松」已是中部最富盛名的 運動盛事，每年一開放報名，萬人名額就馬上秒殺，活動期間更是全鎮總動員一起來

替選手加油，又被稱為最有人情味的馬拉松，在國際間已享有相當知名度，每年吸引 上千國際跑友來臺參與。搭配今年 9 月開跑的擴大秋冬遊國旅獎勵計畫，歡迎大家趁

現田中的友善與熱情一路幫跑者加油，邀請全國萬人跑者用腳步支持台灣的智耕農，以步伐體驗 稻香、米香、人情的故鄉。田中鄉親志工用滿滿珍惜土地的幸福感，營造友善熱情賽道，使「台

灣米倉田中馬拉松 Taiwan’ s Rice Heaven－Tianzhong Marathon」打響國內外知名度，廣受國內 外跑者民眾喜愛，並評價為臺灣經典賽事前三名，為國內外跑者來台指定參與賽事。

從無到有，志工從百人到現今 6 千多名鄉親的出力，選手 4 千多人到現今 直 1 萬 6 5 0 0 位的秒殺支持， 帶動了地方商機與青年返鄉熱潮，發展出單車小旅行、農事體驗、運動團練、國際體驗團等觀光 旅遊風氣，也讓我們田中人找到自信感到驕傲，成功翻轉了田中小鎮成為臺灣跑者之鄉。

臺灣中部氣候宜人、景色秀麗，擁有豐富的自然、人文及產業資源，極具發展觀光

潛能，因此交通部觀光局將獅頭山、梨山、八卦山 3 個省級風景區合併為「參山國 家風景區」，其行政區含括新竹、苗栗、臺中、彰化、南投等 5 縣市 18 鄉鎮市區， 總計面積約 77,521 公頃，並於民國 90 年 3 月成立「參山國家風景區管理處」，專 責轄區觀光旅遊業務。 八卦山此區擁有兩個遊客中心，可提供遊客服務。

▍八卦山脈生態遊客中心 - 灰面鵟鷹主題館 Baguashan Ecological Visitor Center

八卦山脈生態遊客中心鄰近八卦山大佛區，於民國 90 年 3 月 17 日落成啟用， 遊客中心主要介紹每年三月春分前後，北返飛經或暫棲於八卦山脈之灰面鵟 鷹，及八卦山脈的動植物生態，是全國首座的灰面鵟鷹主題館，收集了灰面鵟 鷹的相關生態紀錄。

遊客中心亦提供旅遊諮詢、影片觀賞、團體預約解說、旅遊資訊摺頁索取等

服務，及無障礙設施，歡迎您與家人、朋友一同來訪，體驗在地的生態之旅。 Close to the Tri-Mountain Buddha Landscape, the Baguashan Ecological Visitor Center was opened on March 17, 2001. Around the spring equinox in March each year, the center highlights the Grey-Faced Buzzards that fly back north or make a foraging stop in the Baguashan area. The Center also offers information on wildlife and plant life in the area. It houses the country’s first Grey-Faced Buzzard Theme Pavillion, which displays a collection of ecological records of these fascinating birds.

At Songboling Visitor Center, information to all attraction sites of Baguashan Mountain is provided and is the best place for visitors to know about Baguashan Scenic Area. Given that Songboling produces tealeaves, the history, variety and process of making teas are also exhibited here.

Besides known for its teas, Songboling Region also produces ginger, hairy uraria, Chinese yams, pineapples and others. The flavor and quality of these agricultural goods are highly praised and a must-have for visitors.

Ershui Dengmiao Trail

二水登廟步道是二水通往受天宮的健行登山步道，步道全長 1.8 公里，單程步行約 需 50 分鐘，除了接近受天宮附近步道較為陡峭外，坡度平緩，適宜大眾登山健行。 步道的兩個端點分別在豐柏廣場及受天宮廟前廣場，常見遊客將車停在豐柏廣場再 從登廟步道入口處緩緩登上松柏嶺，參拜休息過後再循原路下山或走豐柏路下山。 若幸運的話，可以在這裡見到成群的台灣獼猴。

Ershui Dengmiao Trail is a hiking trail from Ershui to Shoutian Temple. This 1.8 kilometers trail takes around 50 minutes for a single journey. Besides the steep slope near Shoutian Temple, this trail has gentle slope that is suitable for common hiking.

Fengbo Square and Shoutian Temple Square are located at both ends of the trail. Most tourists will park their vehicles at Fengbo Square and climb up Songboling from the entrance of Temple Trail. They would go downhill from the original route or from Fengbo Road after worshipping and resting at the temple. If you are fortunate enough, you may see groups of Formosan rock macaques.

Ershui Bikeway

全線緊鄰集集火車支線，可騎乘單車與火車並肩而行，相當有趣，沿途有老火車陳列與八堡圳、 林先生廟、源泉車站、龍仔頭山等景點可賞遊，不時可見田野蔬果遍布和四季花卉綻放，來此 可盡情度過悠閒時光

All the way along the Jiji Railway Line, a bicycle lane has been built to offer the fun and exhilaration of riding beside the trains. Along the bicycle trail, there are displays of old trains and other sightseeing spots, Babao canal park, Mr. Lin's Temple, Yuanquan Railway Station, and Lonzaition mountain.

▍茶香步道

Tea Fragrance Trail

茶香步道為連接松柏嶺與田中森林公園之茶園觀光步道，全長約 2.6 公里，走在茶香步道上，

沿途製茶場製茶過程中的茶香四溢，松柏嶺茶葉生產量可稱全國之冠，曾經過蔣故總統經國先 生品嚐，因滋味甘醇，不輸高山茶，故命名為「松柏長青茶」。

再往裡走，有觀景台可供眺望茶園風光，沿線設有解說牌，解說茶葉相關知識，路旁也有休憩 涼亭，黃昏時刻，走在茶香步道上，茶香撲鼻，茶園夕照盡收眼底，真是「有味道的」景色呀 !

Tea Fragrance Trail is a tea garden tourists’ trail connecting Songboling and Tianjhong Forest Park and it stretches for about 2.6 kilometers. While walking along the trail, tea fragrances from tea plants along the way filled the air. Songboling has the highest tealeaf production volume in Taiwan and was once tasted by former president Chiang Ching-kuo. Its sweet taste is not inferior to high mountain teas, thus gaining the name of“Songbo Evergreen Tea”.

When you walk further inside, there is an observation deck where you can glance the great view of tea gardens.

There are explanation boards along the way explaining related knowledge on tea leaves. There is also a pavilion by the side for resting. When walking on Tea Fragrance Trail at sunset, you can smell tea fragrance in the air and the dawning sun shining on tea gardens. What a scene with great “taste”!

Tianzhong Forest Park

擁有深谷、山峰、楓樹、相思樹林景觀，蝴蝶、鳥類資源豐富，加上視野佳，已成 為民眾登山健行的熱門地點。沿著木棧道而行，可到赤水崎公園，園區保留原有林

Tianzhong Forest Park is located in the eastern part of Tianjhong Township. The park has dense forests and trails stretching along the mountains overlooking the Changhua Plain and Taiwan Strait.

The main trail is 3 kilometers long and takes about 2 hours to hike. At an altitude of 325 meters, the Tzao Chueh Pavilion is one of the noteworthy stops along the trail and overlooks the Tzuoshuei River and Taiwan Strait. Besides the forests, there are numerous tables, chairs, amusement facilities and exercise equipment nestled in perfect mountain scenery to accommodate visitors and hikers.

用廢棄的原中南路舊路段，興建成帶狀休憩園區。園內步道兩旁栽種四時花 草，並保存原有林相。所以鳥類資源也頗為豐富，可仔細觀察。另本區因與田 中森林公園相鄰，遊客亦可經遊木棧道連接兩個公園，來一趟自然生態之旅。

Chihshueici park is a natural ecology resort built on Jioujhong South Road. It has forests and grassland scenery. Visitor can observe flocks of birds and a myriad of plants here.

▍長青自行車道

Changqing Bikeway

由田中森林公園對面或橫山，可進入全臺第一條自行 車專用道，兩側林蔭茂密，仰望天空偶見老鷹盤旋， 低頭可見藤蔓攀爬，聽綠繡眼啾啾、樹鵲嘎嘎，4~5 月間山頭點綴油桐花雪，可眺望夕照美景和欣賞高鐵 飛速而過。而想挑戰自我體力的車友，不妨騎上陡峭 爬坡路段 (7100 挑戰路線 )，創造個人新紀錄。

From the opposite side of Tianzhong Forest Park or Hengshan, you can enter the very first bicycle lane built in Taiwan.

During April to May, the hilltops are dotted with snow-white Tung flowers. From the hills themselves you can see a beautiful sunset and the trains of the high-speed rail as they zoom across the green lands.

▍清水岩

Qingshui Yan Temple

傳說中，清水岩是由泉州僧侶覺通師父創建於清雍正 6 年 ( 西元 1728 年 )，在此搭蓋草棚，清 心苦修、潛思佛法，得信眾感動；久後香火日盛，集資募化建廟，於清乾隆 23 年 ( 西元 1758 年 ) 才將茅棚改建為寺宇，主祀三寶佛。徒眾建立暗渠導引山泉水，並就坑砌井，取名曰「洗心池」； 且清水巖腹地寬闊，四周環境優雅，林木蒼鬱，恬適安靜，又有山泉清流，每逢春到人間，萬 物復甦，春意盎然，「清水春光」譽為彰邑八景之一。 寺內正殿懸有「慈雲廣被」、「南海慈航」兩塊乾隆、道光年間古匾，廟內雕樑畫棟、古色古香， 頗發思古之幽情。在清水岩後方有一條「十八彎古道」，古道起點興建有停車場，可從清水岩 一路走到縣 139 乙道路上的鹿鳴附近，是練練腳力、鍛鍊身體的好路線！

Legend has it that Qingshui Yan Temple was founded by Master Juetong, a monk from Quanzhou, in 1728. He made a straw shed here while meditating and studying the ways of Buddha, which touched followers. When the number of worshippers increased, fund was gathered to build a temple and the straw shed was built into a temple on 1758, worshipping Sanbao Buddha. Followers also built a closed conduit to guide mountain water and made a well out of it, naming it “Heart Washing Pond”. Given that Qingshui Yen has a large area and is surrounded with wood, making it an elegant and tranquil environment. Also every year in the spring, it is filled with greens as all life forms came back to life; therefore the “Spring View of Qingshui” is known as one the 8 great scenes of Changhua.

At the main hall of the temple, two old horizontal inscriptions that read“Widely Spread Merciful Cloud”and“Merciful Navigator of the Southern Oceans” from the era of Emperor Qianlong and Daoguang are hung. The carved pillars and beams are also filled with sense of history and give visitors a nostalgic atmosphere. At the rear of Qingshui Yan Temple is a “18 Turns Old Trail” and a parking lot is located at the starting point of the old trail in which you can walk all the way from Qingshui Yan Temple to Luming, which is located near the roads of County Highway 139B. It is a great route to become strong and train your body! train your body!

Shetou is the hometown of the hosiery, but “Rising Rock Ecological Display Center” collects abundant and precious insect specimens. It would become an important location for the ecological tourism along Bagua Mountains. Rising Rock Ecological Display Center was founded by tri-mountain National Scenic Center of Tourism Bureau, MOTC; Nantou Forest District Office, Forest Bureau of Council of Agriculture, Executive Yuan; Changhua County Government; and Shetou Township Office. There are hundreds of precious insect specimens collected in Rising Rock Ecological Display Center, and Hung Chih Chang, a retired teacher, has donated almost one thousand his collections of specimens to the center for the permanent display, which completely records the education of the ecosystem conservation in Bagua Mountains.

The Qingshuiyan Ecological Display Center is also a good example of cooperation. The land of the Qingshuiyan Ecological Display Center was donated by Qingshuiyan temple, and Tri-mountain National Scenic Center of Tourism Bureau, MOTC, and the forestry Bureau of Agriculture Committee complemented the expenditure. In addition, the Changhua County Government has cooperated with the Shetou Township Office. The Shetou Township Office conducts operation management. Moreover, there are abundant ecological resources and recreational environments around Qingshuiyan in Shetou Township, which successfully integrates the surrounding sightseeing spots in Bagua Mountain. After opening, it can provide travel information services for Bagua Mountain and conducts ecological conservation.

社頭是織襪的故鄉，「清水岩生態展示中心」則收藏豐富珍貴的昆蟲標本，落成後將成為彰 化縣八卦山脈沿線生態旅遊之重要據點，清水岩生態展示中心是由交通部觀光局參山國家風 景區管理處、行政院農委會林務局南投林區管理處及彰化縣府與社頭鄉公所等通力協助所 成，館內目前收藏數百種珍奇昆蟲標本，其中退休老師張宏之慨捐近千件標本收藏供中心永 久展示，為八卦山地區生態保育教育做了完整紀錄。 清水岩生態展示中心亦為良好的合作模式範例，土地由清水岩寺捐贈，並由交通部觀光局參 山國家風景區管理處、農委會林務局等補助經費，縣府與鄉公所合力協助，再交由社頭鄉公 所營運管理，再加上社頭鄉清水岩周邊豐富的生態資源及遊憩條件，能成功整合八卦山風景 區周邊遊憩景點，啟用後並可提供八卦山沿線旅遊資訊服務並落實生態保育觀念。 彰化縣社頭鄉每年皆於清水岩遊憩區舉辦甲蟲藝術節活動，並於清水岩生態展示中心辦理甲 蟲生態導覽活動，並與在地農產業者推出生態農園導覽，以共同行銷推廣環境教育及推展生 態觀光。

「重拾運動天賦 我們天生就會跑」

2019 台灣米倉田中馬拉松」在 11 月 10 日正式登 場，去年田中馬拉松與教育部體育署、彰化縣政 府首度攜手運動筆記旗下的「跑步學堂」舉辦「運 動 i 台灣 田中馬拉松官方初半馬訓練營」，打造 12 週的完整訓練計劃，課程廣受學員好評。今年 訓練營邁入第二屆，再度廣邀首次挑戰半馬的跑 者，藉由訓練營專業訓練，串起學員間的羈絆， 共同迎接初半馬的挑戰，找回「天生就會跑」的 能力。

訓練營活動從 8/10 起至 11/10 比賽為止，為期 12 週 課程完全免費，入選者除了有免抽籤的田中馬參賽 保證（報名費由學員自行負擔），還可獲得知名運 動品牌「FILA」的裝備贊助。訓練地點涵蓋彰化高 鐵站、中潭社區、景崧文化教育園區，皆坐落於田 中鎮內，交通便捷、環境優美。

去年田中馬拉松首度舉辦「田中馬拉松官方初半 馬訓練營」，在踴躍報名的跑者中，遴選出 25 位 學員，經過 12 週完整的訓練課程，學員全數完成 挑戰，迎來人生的初半馬，完賽率達 100%。訓練 營總教練蔡弘誠表示「無傷完賽，微笑進終點」 是訓練營的結業目標，因此我們有相當完整的訓 練計劃，從體能、肌力、技術，到功能性恢復， 結合教練專業且親切的教學與諮詢，及客製化的 課表，協助學員完成初馬的挑戰。 田中馬拉松官方初半馬訓練營以「天生就會跑」

Under the theme of “born to run”, Tianzhong Marathon official initial half-marathon training camp stresses running is a human instinct. Training camp head coach Jason Tsai told, because of the change in work style, modern people spend a lot of time sitting in their seats every day, gradually forgetting the instinct of running. The aim of this training camp is to“wake up”, helping trainees to revive their running instinct. With this principle the training camp cooperate with sports brand FILA, sponsors full sports equipments for trainees. Among them, KENYA RACER 4 marathon running shoes designed for Kenyan runners, with "BORN TO RUN" printed on the shoes.

This mirrors theme of the training camp “born to run”, accompanying trainees to revive their running instinct.

Last year, Tianzhong Marathon organised for the first time the “Tianzhong Marathon Official half marathon training camp”. Among all enthusiastic applicant runners, 25 trainees were selected. “2019 Taiwan’s Rice Heaven - Tianzhong Marathon” is officially opened on 10th Nov. Last year, Tianzhong Marathon, the Sports Administration, Changhua County Government, and Biji.co’s “running school” jointly organized the first “Sports Taiwan, Tianzhong Marathon official half marathon training camp, creating a 12-week comprehensive training plan. The course was well received by trainees. This year, the training camp is organised for the second time. We invite again all half-marathon runners, to receive professional camp trainings, linking the hindenrence among trainees, to face the half-marathon challenge together, reviving the “born to run” ability.

The training camp took place between 8/10 to 11/10 until the race, a completely free course for 12 weeks. Selected trainees in addition to a guaranteed entry for Tianzhong Marathon exempted from the ballot (entry fee to be paid by trainees), will also receive sponsored equipments from the famous sports brand “FILA”. Training location covers Changhua HSR station, Zhongtan community, and Jing Song Wenhuajiaoyu Park. All locations are within Tianzhong township, with convenient transportation and a beautiful environment.

存放濁水溪以北的米倉存糧。光復後也一直

因田中火車站落成交通重要性與日俱增，加

田中從日據時代為台灣最大的米倉存糧所在， 都是最大的戰備儲量所在地。1997 年是臺灣

稻米交易中心設於田中，因此在八○年台灣 Travel Tianzhong

稻米的交易是由田中來發佈價格的。

From the Japan Colonial Period, Tienchung was where the biggest rice warehouse is situated in Taiwan, where it maintained all rice for the northern part from Tzoshui River. After recovery, it has also been the largest place for war reserved rice. In 80’s, it was also a rice trade center in Taiwan, hence, it was Tienchung issuing price of rice deal in Taiwan.

立面。光復後大小食品加工廠陸續設立，如 泰山企業集團、維力食品…等，然而公路建 設後貨物紛轉由公路來運送，「五分車」鐵 路相繼拆除，田中逐漸喪失了交通樞紐的地 位，昔日繁榮目前還能從街區建築中追憶。

facilitates Tienchung's commercial prosperity; restaurants, cinemas, banana markets and many

magnificent street houses were filled therein. After the recovery, various scales of food processing plants have been set up, such as Taishan Enterprise Group, Wei

Li Food ... and so on, however, after the highway was constructed, goods were transported on the roads, and "Wufengche” Railway was removed gradually that

Tienchung lost the status of transportation hub, we still can recall her prosperity in the building on the street.

田中鎮農會前身為田中信用組合，創立於日治大正 10 年 ( 西元 1921 年 )。 1946 年 ( 民國 35 年 )1 月改組為田中鎮農會。1993 年台中農業改良場的許志聖博士花了 12 年，培育出 黏性、硬度適中，咀嚼後還泛香甜的「台梗九號」，種成功後，農會利用田中好土質、好氣候、好水源 的優勢大力推廣，讓田中成為台梗九號的重要產區。目前農會利用原來的建築物成立台梗九號體驗館供 大家參觀與教學體驗，同時販賣部也販售各項農會輔導的產品供民眾選購為了推廣田中的農業，農會每 年都會舉辦「稻草人藝術節」近年也致力推廣「田中農旅」，讓遊客深度體驗田中小鎮之美。

Travel Tianzhong

Tianzhong Dr. Rice - Tianzhong Township Agriculture Association

In January, 1946 (35th year of the Republic) it is reformed as the Tianzhong Township Agricultural Association. In 1993, Dr. XU,ZHI-SHENG ( 許志聖 ) of Taichung District Agricultural Research and Extension Station took 12 years to cultivate a new type of rice “Taiken 9”, which is sticky, with moderate hardness, and sweet after chewing. After its successful planting, the Agricultural Association made good use of Tianzhong’s advantages of having good soil quality, good climate and good water source, to strongly promote the rice.

This made Tianzhong become an important production area of Taiken 9. At present, the Agriculture Association made the original buildings to establish a Taiken 8 Experience Center, to let everyone visit and learn by experience. At the same time, the sales shop also sells to the public various products produced under the supervision of the Agricultural Association, in order to promote Tianzhong’s agriculture.

The Agriculture Association organises every year the “Scarecrow Art Festival”. In recent years, it strives to promote “Agricultural tour in Tianzhong”, enable visitors to experience in depth the beauty of the Tianzhong Township.

▞ 見證歷史痕跡 - 壽山堂 & 景崧醫院

由前清秀才陳紹年及其後代子孫所建，建築樣式融合日本四坡水及閩式合院，目前暫列為「暫定古 蹟」。其孫陳景崧於員集路上開設「景崧醫院」懸壺濟世，接濟貧困病患，深得居民敬重，其之子陳 時窄同為醫生，兩間醫院並存於員集路上，不同年代、格局，值得探究。

It was built by the scholar of the former Qing Dynasty, Chen Shao-Nian, and his descendants; the style infused Japan's Four-slope water ( 四坡水 – 屋頂四角呈坡度 狀 ) and Fujian style courtyard; it is classified as "provisional monuments" currently.

His son, Chen Jing-Song, set up "Jingsong Hospital" to help the poor patients and won the respect of the residents. His grandson, Chen Shi-Ying, was a doctor, and two hospitals coexisted on the road across different times and patterns, worthy of deep discussion.

▞ 小中山樓 - 耶穌聖心堂

是由台灣第一位女建築師，同時也是陽明山中山樓的設計師 - 修澤 蘭女士所建，設計概念融合中國北方宮殿元素以及簡潔的西方現代 建築樣式，與中山樓有異曲同工之妙，因此有「小中山樓」的雅稱。 Small Zhongshan Building Sacred Heart of Jesus Church

It was built by the first female architect in Taiwan, the designer of the Zhongshan House in Yangmingshan – Mrs. Xiu, Zee-Lang; the design concept is a fusion of elements of the Chinese palace in the north and simple modern western architectural style, which has the same purpose of that of the Zhongshan House, so, it has an elegant name, "small Zhongshan Building".

▞ 百年八堡圳

旅

八堡圳，興建於清朝康熙 48 年 ( 西元 1709 年 )，歷經十年完工， 是臺灣最古老的埤圳之一。由於該圳是由施世榜籌款取濁水溪之 水灌溉彰化縣十三個堡中的八個堡，因此稱為「八堡圳」。 水圳開鑿後，提供了穩定而充足的水源，將富含有機質的濁水 溪溪水源源不絕的引導至此灌溉，於是原本的水潭逐漸被開墾成 綠葉平疇的水稻田。 中潭與龍潭段兩側栽種樹形優美的小葉欖仁樹。春天發出嫩芽

時節，青翠欲滴，夏季林蔭茂盛，遮陽避暑，吸引許多在地人或 是遊客前來散步攝影。進入秋天葉色逐漸轉變成金黃色，宛如一 條黃金廊道，如詩如畫。到了冬天樹葉飄零，僅剩左右對稱的枝 幹矗立八堡圳堤岸兩旁，呈現出另一種蕭瑟的美感。不僅是當地 民眾休閒拍照不可多得的好去處，也是台灣米倉田中馬拉松跑者 公認經典的賽道路段。

The century aged Eight Fort Ditch

The Eight Fort Ditch was built in year 48 under the rule of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1709 AD). It was completed in 10 years and is one of the oldest in ditches in Taiwan. Because the Ditch was constructed with the funds raised by Shishibang, for taking water from the Zhuoshui River to irrigate 8 out of the 13 forts in Changhua County, it was therefore called the “Eight Fort Ditch”.

After the Eight Fort Ditch was dug, it provides a stable and abundant water source. bringing non-stop mineralsrich Zhoushui River water stream for irrigation. Therefore, the original water pool was gradually opened up to become a paddy field with plenty of green leaves.

On both sides of the Zhongtan and Longtan sections are planted with Madagascar Almond trees with a beautiful shape. In the season of spring sprouts, leaves are green; in summer with lush trees, provide shelter for the sun; attracting many locals and visitors to take a walk or make photos. Entering autumn, leaves gradually turn into golden yellow, like a pathway made of gold forming a picturesque scene.

In winter, leaves fall down, only symmetric branches stand on both sides of the Eight Fort Ditch shore, showing a different kind of desolate beauty. Not only is it a good place for locals to take photos, but also a widely recognized classic road section among Taiwan's Rice Heaven Tianzhong Marathon runners.

德東百貨自日治時期簡慶東先生創辦至今已歷經 84 個寒暑，歷經三代人的經營，同時也陪伴田 中人代代的傳承，店裡販售的各項商品珍藏著許多田中人共同的回憶，目前由第三代經營者簡緯存 返鄉接手家族的事業。 為了讓老店有新的風貌，同時與更多人分享家族的歷史故事，緯存特地改造日治時代即搭建的二 樓倉庫，保留當時的檜木地板與傢俱，展示祖父的日記、當年使用的紅眠床、員集路老照片，以及 商店曾經販賣的物品，供遊客免費參觀，除傳承歷史，並讓傳統老店能永續經營，也結合傳統產業 與老街導覽等創新的行銷手法，透過家族故事的傳承為德東百貨注入新的活水。

An inheritance through generations - Dedong Groceries

Dedong Groceries, which was found by Mr. Chien Ching-tung since the period of Japanese occupation, has experienced 84 years of sumers and winters. It has been operated by 3 family generations, and accompanied the pass on of generations of Tianzhong people.

The products sold in the store are filled with cherished memories shared by many Tianzhong people. Nowadays, the third-generation operator, Wei-Tsun Chien, returns home to take over the family business.

In order to give a new look to the old store, and share the family's historical story with more people, Wei-Tsun specially rebuilt the second-floor warehouse built during the period of Japanese occupation, retained the old beech wood floor and furniture, showing his grandfather's diary, red vintage bed, old photos of Yuanji Road, and items that were once sold in the store, for visitors to freely visit. In addition to inheriting history and to operate the traditional store forever, innovative marketing techniques such as combining a traditional business with old street guided tour are adopted. Through the passing on of family stories, new elements are added to activate Dedong Groceries.

His arms are opened which symbolises the warm welcome of Tianzhong township-men. Steel AhCho, an art installation which is 7 feet tall and with almost 2 tons of steel, was designed and created

by Tianzhong local artist Xia Changhui( 夏 昌 惠 ). First appeared in the venue of Tianzhong Marathon 2016. At present, he stations in front of Dragon Athlete Hall ( 龍將館 ) and become a hot photo-spot among runners and visitors.

The romantic art installation is based on a double-heart body, with 4 heart decorations on the two sides, and a heart symbol on the love letter. On top of the double-hearts, AhCho is sending his love letter. These 11 hearts communicate his message “wholeheartedly 520” to AhSum.
