Your talented child will never play in the NHL. So why do you spend so much time and money hanging out in cold rinks at all hours of the day and night?
Because you know hockey develops character, both physical and mental, during the most formative years of their lives. They have become totally dedicated to hockey. This has developed a higher sense of pride, self confidence, mental strength, lasting friendships, and physical commitment.
Short of military service, your young adult has become regimented in their actions at home, in school, and on the ice. They don’t like to lose, but have learned to be gracious about it. Their life is not boring, they show up on time, and they are driven to be better every day……..Good job.

Smile of the Day
A longtime Bruin fan dies and is met at the Pearly Gates by an angel who offers to take him on a free guided tour of Heaven. As they strolled around the grounds, the Bruins fan noticed what looked like a huge hockey rink building and asked if he could go inside. The angel said “yes, of course”.
Upon entering the rink, the Bruins fan was awestruck as he spied a lone skater effortlessly gliding up & down the ice. He was both graceful and very fast, making moves that seemed impossible for mere mortals.
The skater wore a Bruins #4 jersey………. The amazed fan turned to the angel, with big tears welling in his eyes and said, “Oh my God, that’s Bobby Orr. I didn’t know he had died?”
The angel’s response came as a relief, “No. That’s really God, but he thinks he’s Bobby Orr.”
