7. Jake Granger & Rick

My name is Jake Granger, and this is my steer Rick. Rick was born January 19 th , 2022 and is a Simmental steer. Rick weighs around 1100 pounds. Rick’s sire is Trailblazer and his Dam is 165C. This was the first steer that caught my eye in our pen of steers. Rick is a very showy steer, but also has enough power, and guts to go along with his build. Rick is wide over the top, and overall, a good complete steer. Rick will be good meat by the end of 4-H.

8. Dylan Frey & Little John

Good Day! My name is Dylan Frey and this is my 12th year in the Alameda 4-H Beef Club. My parents are Jason & Melissa Frey. We live north of Oxbow on our ranch, Freyburn Angus Farms. My Steer is Little John and he is an Angus steer weighing in at approx. 1300lbs. This guys Grade A angus marbling will be a delicious addition to your summer time BBQ’s.
