PRESENTED BY ENCORE CHOIR POP Show A Night at the Movies LIGHTS! CAMERA! POP SHOW! MAY 11, 2024 | 7 PM | DAWSON HS AUDITORIUM

A note from the Director:

Hello and WELCOME to Dawson's Pop Show: A Night at the Movies!

I am Jasmine Reed, Assistant Choir Director at Dawson HS. I am in my 11th year of teaching and this will be the 2nd Pop Show I have produced at Dawson. You might be asking yourself, “Why the movies?” Well, the idea came to me over the summer as I was reciting Nicole Kidman’s monologue for AMC Theatres. And I thought, “We DO come to this place for magic...” and the theme was decided. I have had the opportunity to watch students lead and work tirelessly to produce a fantastic show for you all tonight. I am so proud of this show and its performers.

I want to say a huge thank you to Mrs. Roxan Silva for the support and encouragement in preparing this show. Mrs. Terri Zuteck for her help in auditions and Mrs. Leslie Grant for her flexibility and understanding. Mr. Cody Edgar and Mr. Andrew Carter for their help in producing the best look and sound for our students.

Drew Allen, Luke Holden, Rianna Roy, and Carmen Schultz for their expertise and talent with choreographing everything you see from these dancers. Our fabulous tech crew. And finally, the Pop Show Dance Chorus that gave of their time and energy.

We are so excited to highlight some of the best music from your favorite blockbusters!

We hope you enjoy the show!

Ms. Reed
