concept plan & perspectives

This rooftop project in the heart of Toronto brought many exciting challenges. It required a design that would have full season interest. There was plenty of collaboration with engineers, architects, contractors and the condo board to anchor all the design elements to the roof in an appropriate way that satisfied all approval bodies.

green roof & amenity area blow-ups

I had the exciting opportunity to take the lead design role on this condo project in the East end of Toronto. Working alongside a very passionate team of architects, there was plenty of room for collaboration and creativity. We decided to go with a flowing design theme through the entire site. This theme was reflected in different mediums, including plant groupings, monoculture hydroseed mixes, unit pavers and green roof plant species.

The lower level amenity area brought about another series of design opportunities. To incorporate more depth, vertical interest and reduce the need for a large structural wall, we designed a naturalized retaining wall featuring multiple tiers of armour stone, complemented by ornamental grasses and shrubs.

colour masterplans & planting plan

Nunns, located North of Victoria BC, is a small, affordable townhouse development by Northlands Development LTD. I had the chance to take this project on as the lead designer. Although this project was rather simple when it came to the hardscape design, I was able to put my creativity into planting the central parking lot island.

feature entrance piece

During two separate trips to Baja California I had the chance to work together with local landscaping crews. We were able to create desirable design solutions using only the materials available in town for local clients and a small development called Pueblo Pescadero.

In this project, we were assigned with restoring two outdoor rooftop spaces in an older condo building that was having its roofing membrane replaced. This was a plant heavy project and part of the assignment included creating a plant visual presentation for the condo residents.

alberg ln perspectives

This residential project brought life to the landscape of a new build. The clients wanted an outdoor space they could enjoy year round and screening from a busy intersection. The design incorporates fully louvred pergolas with infrared heaters and a covered outdoor kitchen unit. The front yard features heavy natural screening combined with cedar privacy panels.

before & after

This TDSB parking lot is one of many contract admin jobs I have had the opportunity to undertake. From start to finish, I always enjoy getting out on site to meet with contractors and clients, conduct inspections, and generally make sure the job runs smoothly.

planting plan and perspective

Shawnigan Lake is a private high school located North of Victoria in BC. We had the exciting opportunity to design the landscape for their new residence, Samuel House. This design features a very naturalized environment taking elements of North Vancouver Island planting themes combined with recreational areas for students to socialize.
