This is a non-fiction book series by comedian Tanishi Matsubara. The first volume was published in 2018. The series has since been adapted into a manga and twice into live-action films.
Once a struggling comedian, Tanishi Matsubara took part in a television project where, in a bid to gain fame, he moved into a stigmatized property—a place rumored to be haunted by ghosts. During his stay, he experienced numerous strange and inexplicable phenomena. Even after the project ended, he continued moving from one stigmatized property to another every time his rental contracts expired, living in a succession of such places. It features floor plans and details of various stigmatized properties he has visited, including those he actually lived in.
