You can easily keep Santa Claus alive if you want to do it. Why should we keep Santa Claus alive? He’s a fictional character and probably the first big lie you deliver to your kids. The opinion about if it’s OK to lie to your children about Santa or not is divided into two very distinguished groups. Two years ago I published an article about the same topic, “How Will Santa Survive In The Digital World?” The subject continues to be polemic. Before the entry into the digital era, it was much easier to keep secret the myth about Santa Claus. The abundance of information thanks to the digital evolution, challenges a lot to keep Santa Claus alive. Even children of the age of Santa believers, can today surf around on the Internet and get answers to all their doubts. We have all been educated that it’s not a good thing to lie. However, there are lies and “lies.” Lies allowed to make are the so-called white lies. The follow-up question will then be: is a white lie OK to keep Santa Claus alive? As nobody will be harmed by creating Santa, the only way to keep Santa Claus alive would then be to lie about him. All kids believing in Santa view him with respect and on the edge of fear.
