Only 8% succeed with their New Year Resolution This time, I’m going to be healthier, save money, sleep earlier, read a book each week, spend more time with people I care about and find the love of my life. Keep It Simple The first rule for a successful New Year resolution is to keep it simple. Rather than listing out 80 different things you want to achieve within the next year try staying to one to three goals that are imperative to you. A good idea to start out somewhere would be to review the previous year. What happened at this time one year ago? If you failed on any of your resolutions for 2016 (which is likely), figure out why it happened.
