Hy is ‘n leerling van Laerskool Midvaal. Die vis was baie groot en sy oom Chris en pa Pieter moes hand bysit, want die klein arms wou nie meer nie.

Enigeen wat by het ‘n naweekkompetisie by Mihanzi by die die klub wil aansluit, kan vir Leon by 083 775 Vaaldam, net buite Oranjeville, gehou. 4639 skakel. Die kompetisie is vanaf Vrydag 17 Februarie om 18:00, tot 19 Februarie om 10:00 gehou. 16 Hengelaars het aan die kompetisie deelgeneem en ‘n totaal van 155 vis is ingeweeg, waarvan agt babers, 18 karp, 98 moddervis en 31 geelvis was. Die swaarste spesies, ‘n karp, is deur Hennie Greyling gevang met ‘n gewig van 3,985kg, ‘n moddervis deur JJ van den Heever van 1,175kg, ‘n baber deur Laudis van Zyl van 10,725kg en ‘n geelvis ook deur Laudis van Zyl van 1,010kg. Laudis het ook die drie swaarste spesies ingeweeg, naamlik ‘n karp (3,2kg), baber (10,725kg) en geelvis (1,010kg). Hy het ook die meeste vis, 35, met ‘n gewig van 36,130kg ingeweeg. Die Leon Meyer (links) wat ook ‘n baber van 9,735 kg inge klub se volgende klubkompet- weeg het. Langs hom is Laudis van Zyl by sy baber van sie is op 25 Febraurie by Bier- 10,725kg en die res van sy vangs.

V’Bijl Police request assistance with case

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Vanderbijlpark Police are conducting an inquest following an incident that occurred on July 6 in 2016 at around 12:00, at the corner of Faraday and Hertz Boulevard in CW3, Vanderbijlpark. Police spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale says that the body of Phillip Brandon Fourie was found in a park and it was alleged that he had had an overdose of drugs. “We are looking for an alleged witness who is only known as Daniel or Christopher to come forward and assist us with further investigations. It is alleged that this witness may have moved to the Cape. It is not known if these are his real names - Daniel/Christopher - but he was at Fox Drive having an anti-drug campaign after the death of Mr. Phillip Brandon

Fourie.” Meanwhile Vanderbijlpark Police are also investigating a common robbery case following an incident that took place on January 31, 2017 at 13:30 in Jan van Riebeeck Street in the CBD of Vanderbijlpark. It is alleged that the victim who was in the shop, assisted a customer and there was a misunderstanding when the customer assaulted the victim who is +- 70yrs of age and forcefully took the victim’s phone. Chuta, direkteur van onderwys in die Fezile Dabi-distrik onlangs gesê. Dít nadat ‘n memorandum deur leerlinge van die Laerskool Lumiére in Vaalpark aan hom oorhandig is. Die belangrikheid van vyf waardes en norme, wat die leerlinge self gekies en nou by die skool uitleef, is in die memorandum vervat. Die skool se waardes en normes sluit in respek, vriendelikheid, dissipline, netheid en eerlikheid. Volgens mnr. Chuta het waardes en normes in skole beslis ‘n nuwe baadjie aangetrek en dit sal beslis ‘n fokuspunt word by skole in die toekoms. Graad ses- en sewe leerlinge van Lumies het vroegoggend in die saal van die departement bymekaargekom, met kleurryke plakkate oor die waardes en normes wat hulle in die skool geïmplementeer het.

One of the reasons that it became so popular is that just about anyone, from age four, can participate. Lindsay Saker grand opening VEREENIGING. - The all new state of the art Lindsay Saker Vereeniging dealership representing both Audi and Volkswagen will be celebrating the grand opening of its exciting new dealership in Vereeniging on March 4. The dealership displays a vast selection of new passenger and commercial vehicle models in addition to a wide array of used and demo models, VW MasterCars, Audi preowned and select vehicles. Lindsay Saker Vereeniging is one of the top performing Audi and Volkswagen dealerships in the country. The new dealership is situated on 22 760 square metres of land at the entrance to Vereeniging. The VW new car showroom displays 12 vehicles, Audi 8 vehicles, VW Commercial 6 vehicles, Audi preowned 15 vehicles and MasterCars 21 vehicles. The interior retail space was designed to provide a dynamic blend of relaxing atmosphere and customer friendly environment including but not limited to Wi-Fi, a coffee shop and a kiddie’s corner. The new dealership also features better technologically, an advanced service facility with 20 work bays for VW, VW Commercial and Audi. In addition it has an access friendly rolling service reception and a larger parts department. The state of the art Beissbarth wheel alignment facility includes a brake and suspension tester, tyre change and high speed wheel balancing - a new addition to the dealership. Lindsay Saker Vereeniging hosts an environmentally friendly wash bay which recycles water and hosts 10 000L water tanks. It also has an installed storm water catchment system with a capacity of 20 000 L. This means that most of the water the dealership will be using is totally off the grid. The dealership has 400 solar panels which will provide more

SASOLBURG. – Met die Vrystaat Hoërskole Atletiekbyeenkoms net om die draai, het Sasolburg Hoër verseker dat hy met ‘n gedugte span Bloemfontein toe gaan. Die skool se atlete het verlede week koning

gekraai tydens die Fezile Dabi-byeenkoms wat verlede Woensdag op die DP de Villiersstadion gehou is. Van die 44 skole het Sasolburg Hoër die meeste punte ingesamel. Hulle het in die nommer een posisie op die punteleer met 84
