The aim of this assignment is to create commercial images for stock photography or wall art. Your images need to be eye-catching and innovative, submitted in a digital format. You may choose to photograph your favourite foods, possessions, favourite places or you could think outside the box and develop a more obscure idea – it’s up to you! Whatever you decide to photograph, your final images should have ‘market appeal’. This means that your choice of subject should be relevant for the intended purpose (wall art or stock) so thorough research within the chosen area is paramount. Through lectures, workshops and demonstrations, you will be introduced to different types of cameras and lenses and, shown how the various settings and dials on the camera can change the resulting image.
