AD ULT A RT CL ASSES

Watercolour with Anne Brack Mondays, 9am - 12pm 25 July - 12 September, $245/$225 (members) for eight weeks (Code T3-01) This class is suitable for all students, from beginner to advanced. Students will be able to work on their own projects and will receive individual instruction in all methods of watercolour, including pen and pastels.

Exploring Drawing with Anne Brack Mondays, 12.30pm-3:30pm 25 July - 12 September, $245/$225 (members) for eight weeks (Code T3-02) Students will explore aspects of drawing and its relationship to painting. The class will include a variety of mediums from pencil to ink and wash. Students will

work on individual projects with structured tuition and demonstrations. Suitable for all levels.

Portrait Drawing Sessions: Long Poses Every Monday evening, 6.30pm - 9pm. February to November. There is no class on the fifth Monday of the month when this occurs. $15 per week (pay on night) This is a drop-in, untutored group which is ideal for those with some experience, wishing to improve their portrait techniques or work on one artwork to conclusion. These sessions are based on one pose for a four week period for students who wish to work directly from life on paintings, sculptures or more detailed studies. A new pose commences on the

first Monday of the month and continues for four consecutive Mondays.

Central Coast Botanical Art Group Tuesdays, 9am - 12pm 26 July - 20 September $145 /$135 (members) for 9 weeks (Code T3-03) This group aims to foster members’ learning and experimentation in the genre of botanical art through sharing and discussion. The group has no regular tutor, however members freely offer constructive advice to each other. New members are very welcome.

Portraying Nature in Art with Molly Gill Tuesdays, 12.30pm- 3.30pm 26 July - 13 September, $245/$225 (members) for eight weeks (Code T3-04) This class focuses on the artistic depiction of natural subjects including birds, insects and plants. Each two week block will focus on a different natural history group, starting with sea creatures. Students will learn techniques for rendering plants and animals accurately and may work on any subject at any time. Various mediums and techniques for creating texture such as feathers, fur and bumps, as well as effects including iridescence, smooth and shiny skin, will be introduced. Students may work in any medium and are encouraged to bring their own subjects to work from. All artistic levels are welcome.

Contemporary Paintings with Ingrid Haydon Wednesdays, 10am - 3pm 27 July - 14 September, $345/$325 (members) for eight weeks. (Code T3-05) This all day class is designed to help participants find contemporary ways of painting in a relaxed and friendly environment. All aspects of painting and drawing are covered from basic to experimental. Exercises are set to explore various approaches, however the emphasis is on developing individual skills and how to work towards an exhibition. Beginners are also welcome and will be guided and encouraged.

Watercolours (morning and afternoon) with John Wells 28 July - 15 September Thursdays, 9am - 12pm (Code T3-06) Thursdays, 12.30pm–3.30pm (Code T3-07) $245/$225 (members) for eight weeks A fun and relaxed course to discover the medium of watercolours. Students will begin by learning basic techniques, colour mixing and effects. Participants are encouraged to bring their own subject to work from, such as a favourite photo of a landscape, loved one or pet.

Life Drawing Sessions Every Thursday evening February - November 6.30pm - 9pm. $15 per week (pay on night) This is a drop-in group which requires no booking. This class is ideal for those with some experience wishing to improve their technique and build a folio of drawings.

Pastels Art Group Fridays, 9am - 12pm 29 July - 23 September $145/$135 (members) for nine weeks (Code T3– 08) The Pastels Art Group is a group of like-minded artists who meet on Friday mornings in a friendly and supportive environment. The group has no regular tutor, however members freely offer constructive advice to

each other. Those wishing to utilise other 2-dimensional water-based media are also welcome to enrol.

The Artist’s Studio with Sandra McArthur Fridays, 12.30pm -3.30pm 29 July - 16 September $245/$225 (members) for eight weeks (Code T3-09) A class with a dash of panache. Are your perspectives perplexing, watercolours worrisome, drawing daunting? Respected teacher Sandra McArthur will alleviate these problems in a novel and unique way. Let her show you how to paint incredible pictures without ever using a brush.

Discovering Nature Through the Arts with Wendy Brigden Tuesdays, 4pm - 5.30pm 26 July -13 September, Ages: 6-12yrs $160/$145 (members) for eight weeks. (Code T3-10) This term, students will explore the natural environment and the concept of movement in everyday life, through a variety of art mediums including pastels, charcoals and acrylic paints.

Emerging Art-itudes with Sandra McArthur Fridays, 4pm - 5.30pm 29 July - 16 September Ages: 6-12yrs $160/$145 (members) for eight weeks. (Code T3-11) Experienced art teacher Sandra McArthur focuses on core art techniques and skills in a fun and friendly environment. Students will complete works using a range of materials.

Should cancellation be necessary, you will be notified of cancellation by phone as early as possible prior to class commencement, and a refund will be issued. >> Gosford Regional Gallery reserves the right to change tutors, change class times, venue and structure, or to reduce the length of the class if there are insufficient numbers. >> Unruly behaviour by children in classes is unacceptable. Gosford Regional Gallery reserves the right to refuse enrolment should such circumstances arise. >> Refunds will not be given if a student discontinues a class once the class has begun, or if cancelled less than 48 hours before the start of classes. >> A $10 administration fee will be applied to changes in enrolment. >> A non-refundable online booking fee exists of $0.30
