The thermometer indicotes the temperoture of the coolont with the ignition switched on. The optimum operoting temperotureronge is from 75 to 105oC.In SfOon 105S, this ronge is identifiedby the greenzoneof the scole.

The fuel gouge indicotes the level of the fuel with the ignition switched on. The scole is providedwith divisions 0 - r/2- 1, i. e., empty, holf full, ond full tonk.

Thedriveris wornedby the redworning light when theneore lessthon 5litres of fuel in the fueltonk.

The tochometer indicotes the speed (revolutions) of the engine.The speedshould never riseto the red zone.When chongingthe geors, on increoseof speedwithin the ronge of the yellow zone is permissible.

The porkinglights comeon when the switch is thrown to the first right-hondposition.The

The moin luggogecomportment(boot) is in the forebody,the interior (inbuilt) luggoge comportmentbehindthe reorseotbockrests.

Boot lid up to 1978 - To open it, pressdown thereleaseonthe right-handsideunderthefacia oanel.Thenliftthe lidontheright-handsideand secureit in itsraisedpositionwith the aidof the articulatedstrut.After loweringthe lid, lock it by pullingthe releaseasfaras it will go. ' Sinie 1978 open lid by pullinghandleand lowerasdescribedabove.To lockpresslidabove catches.

Enginebonnet - To open it, pull the lever in the opertureof the left-hond reor door. To close the bonnet, press it down with the hond into oosition.

Lifting the cor with o Power iock - When r-rsingo servicePoweriock, let the cor rest on the pointsshown in Fi1.1.412.

To tow the cor, hook the towing rope on to the brocketunderthe cor nose.Threodthe pin through the loop of the rope ond the brocket lugsond securethe pin with o cotterpin (both thL pin ond the cotterpin ore includedin the cor occessories).

1.5 SPAREWHEELAND FUELTANK

Sporewheel - After having openedthe luggoge boot lid, pull the hondle of the spore wheel corrier releoserod. The corrier is releosedond swingsdown (speciolequipmentof the cor includeso sofety lotch behind the bumper which hos to be pushecloside to releosethe corrier )

Afterhovingclosedthe corrier(by lifting it), pushthe releoseleverunderthe bumperto the right os for os it will go.

Fueltonk - The fillerneckwith cop is in the reoron the right-hondside of the cor- lt con be locked ond unlocked by meons of the re' spectivekey.

1.6 STARTINGTHEENGINEAND CHECKING ITS CORRECTRUNNING

1. Moke sure thot the geor lever is in its neutrolposition,switch on the ignition (position I on the switch box) ond wotch the coming on of the oil pressureond chorging worning lights,i.e. check the functionof the olternotor- seethe informotionin porogroph4.

Preporethe engine to its temperoture:

- Stortingfrom cold in the occelerotorpedol

- Stortingfromcold in the occelerotorpedol choke

lf the cold engine stolls even ofter the secondond third storting ottemPt,enrich the stortingmixtureby quicklydepressingthe occelerotorpedol once or twice to holf of its trovelduringthe next stortingottemPt.

Neverlet tlre stortermotorrun for morethon obout 5 seconds.Woit some 5 secondsbefore repeotingthe storting.

Fuel is injectedby everyquick depressionof the occelerotorpedol ond enrichesthe mixture so thot it is difficult to ignite. lf the engine is flooded,stort it with o fully depressedoccelerotorpedol.

3. Increosethe enginespeedcorefullywhile releosingthe clutchpedol.lf the engineshows signs of stolling, depressogoin the clutch pedol.
