QAC welcomes new board members This year, under the

direction of the ever changing COVID-19 protocols, the Quinte Arts Council held its Annual General Meeting virtually in late August. Although this feels a little late, we wanted to acknowledge those who have contributed to the Board over the last year, those who have moved on to other endeavours and welcome some new faces to the table. The Board and Team would like to thank Debbie McKinney for her outstanding contributions. Over the years, Debbie has been the Chair of many Holiday Home Tours for the QAC, she worked tirelessly at fundraising details and volunteer engagement and was a champion on our fundraising events. Thank you,

Debbie, for your years of dedication to the Quinte Arts Council and we wish you all the best in your many new adventures. We wish to thank Heather Cockerline for her time as secretary on the board. Although your term was short, we look forward to welcoming you back to the table soon. The Board, Team and the entire arts community welcome Andrea Kerr to the helm. Past-Chair Jenny Woods handed over the gavel to Andrea at the AGM. Andrea, who has served on the board since 2014, is the former Learning Support Coordinator for the Arts, Libraries, Literacy, and Technology at Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board Umbrella, Fall / Winter, 2020 - 36

supporting Arts Education in Kindergarten through to Grade 12. She worked to connect classrooms to local artists, and facilitated opportunities for students to participate in gallery visits, cultural events, and performances in our community. She is currently teaching grade six. "The Quinte Arts Council Board of Directors and Team are stronger than ever. We have slowed down and turned inward to reset our priorities and ensure that our work is impactful. I am proud to say that we are advancing, promoting, supporting and cultivating the arts and culture for all the artists and communities within our ‘umbrella,’” says Kerr.
