Scheduling Lead times will depend on final product mix, order timing, and market conditions. The industry is currently experiencing longer-than-usual lead times. This schedule reflects a conservative mindset intended to minimize risk around delivery dates.

Full Needs Assessment Kick-Off Meeting — EUA, MMSD, and Demco EUA to send Demco Revit or CAD files for planning WORKSHOP: - Vision and priorities: Fully understand the overall goals of the school, and dive into each space by meeting with those working in the area and school/district leadership.

- Space requirements: Understanding needs such as capacity for different spaces, different types of events, who are the users, how is the space used, etc.

Budget and purchasing planning: Confirm budget available for the project so we can assist in cost control. Determine contracts to be used.

Installation

Follow-up support

We’ll work with vendors and local installers to ensure your space and staff are ready to open on schedule.

We’ll stay connected as long as you need us to make sure your new space is a place where your students continue to grow and learn.

I N S TA L L AT I O N

• Be well-prepared for the big day. Your project manager will be in contact as the delivery date(s) near to make sure that your site is ready. They’ll confirm dates, handle special clearance or other details, and communicate any unique requirements to the installation team. If you need to delay installation, they can arrange for interim storage.

• Get the right team on-site. Your project manager will determine the crew size for each day’s work. You may need a larger crew to unload the trucks, but a smaller one could effectively assemble and place your product.

Whenever possible, coworkers from our DeForest manufacturing team will provide installation services.

If needed, they’ll be supplemented with warehouse and installation services through local contractors.

• Leave the details to us. To ensure work is moving forward as planned, your project manager will keep in close contact with the install team. You’ll get a daily check-in, and you’ll have the chance to make changes to product placement or services during these conversations.

• Follow your project’s progress. Keep up with what’s happening in your space via the photos taken by the installation team and shared by your project manager.

• Wrap up loose ends. When you walk through your space with the lead installer, your outstanding needs will be documented using their room-specific punch list.

Please note that our installation services do not cover work that requires a licensed construction tradesperson, such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or carpentry labor.

FOLLOW-UP SUPPORT

• Resolve outstanding items quickly. You’ll receive a copy of the punch list document created during your final walkthrough. Each item on this list will become a task in your project coordinator’s work queue, where it will be reviewed and reported on weekly until resolved. These tasks are a high priority for both our suppliers and your Demco project team.

• Know your investment is protected. If issues arise, we can help you identify and exercise the correct warranty. If none applies, we’ll work directly with the manufacturer on your behalf to find a fair and satisfactory resolution. For additional warranty information, see Appendix C. • Expand where and when you need to. After your project is completed, you’ll have access to a personalized hub where you can revisit the details. This makes it easy to order more of the same pieces you know work for your space and users.

• Test and fine-tune your space. As real people start to use your space, you may discover additional needs. For help finding the solutions that compliment your existing products, connect with our team by phone or access the sales team via your personalized hub.

Demco holds several nationwide furniture contracts, such as National Cooperative Purchasing Alliance (NCPA), Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies (AEPA), BuyBoard, and TIPS-USA. Our team will work with the district to identify and determine which contract terms will be most beneficial based on the final product selection.

VOLUME PRIC ING

We strive to keep the manufacturer list for your project narrow in order to maximize volume discounting. The price we quote you is the price we will invoice you. If you add, remove, or change products, we will produce an updated quote to reflect those changes, including any price changes.

C O M P L I M E N TA R Y S E R V I C E S

If you select Demco as your project’s furniture provider, you’ll receive consultation, design, and project management services at no cost. Working this way allows you to save on design fees and invest those savings into your project by purchasing additional furniture, increasing the specification of the furniture within your spaces, or applying those savings to other areas within the overall project.

Consultation: Consultation is a standard part of the Demco process, regardless of contract award.

Interior Design: In addition to the consultation, Demco will provide interior design services.

These services include 2D, 3D, and virtual reality renderings. Design services for a project of this size and scope are provided at no cost and are a standard part of the Demco process, regardless of contract award.

Project Management: Demco will oversee quotation, ordering, procurement, coordination, and installation of your project.
