Nothing Comes Easy

I don’t understand why nothing comes easy in this world. I don’t understand why it’s harder to get through some days rather than others. I do not understand why all of my friends can never just get along. I don’t understand why girls always feel like they’re in competition. I don’t understand why my mom put me through what she put me through as a kid. I do not understand why I’m not close to my siblings the way I should be.

I do understand not everyone is me.

Stephany Rodriguez is a graduate of The Care Center and the proud mother of her toddler son, Amari. She is currently enrolled in Humanities 108, and is looking forward to continuing her education.
