Explain to me how to make a difference in this world. How to make it a better place for you when you grow How do I make them understand you have as much right They must understand you bleed like them How to force them to say your name out loud For it to be spoken with respect as if it was their own name Your gender or color should not matter
Explain to me how after all the battles we have fought You still don’t respect my presence in this world You keep wanting to erase my presence here as if I never was You brought my mother here against her will And now you kill her children every chance you get How will I protect my children from your assassinating ways? How can you look at yourself after all you have done?
How do you explain to your child why her friend is no longer here? How do you sleep after all the murders you committed?
When will you stop your murdering ways? How do I hide my remaining children so that they can survive? How do I get you to pay for your murders?
