What is the Study and StayTM - Nova Scotia Foundations program? The Study and Stay™ - Nova Scotia Foundations program is tailored for international students in any year of post-secondary education in Nova Scotia and intending to remain in the province after graduation. This free program facilitates career development and fosters strong community connections for international students.

The Study and Stay™ Foundations program is in part delivered through a mobile app and is made up of four learning levels: Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3/4 combined. Each Foundation Learning Level will include resources such as mini-videos, webinars, learning quizzes, and connection and engagement activities. The levels are designed to increase international students’ cultural and professional competencies, knowledge development, and pre-employment skills acquisition as they transition from academic to professional life during their studies. Based on the progress in the app, students are eligible to receive microredentials that students can share on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles.

Eligibility requirements: • Be an international student at a Nova Scotian post-secondary institution. • Hold a valid study permit (Canadian citizens and permanent residents are ineligible).
