What is the Study and StayTM - Nova Scotia Capstone program?
The Study and Stay™ - Nova Scotia Capstone program is tailored for international students completing their final year of post-secondary education in Nova Scotia and intending to remain in the province after graduation. This free 10-month program facilitates career development and fosters strong community connections for these students.

Eligibility requirements:
• Be an international student entering your final year at a Nova Scotian postsecondary institution in September 2023.
• Maintain good academic standing and be set to graduate in 2024.
• Hold a valid study permit (Canadian citizens and permanent residents are ineligible).
• Qualify for a post-graduation work permit upon your graduation.
• Be available for a mandatory 3-day program retreat at the end of October 2023.
• Have an active LinkedIn profile.
Before applying, prepare a brief letter of intent. Explain your suitability for the program, your commitment to staying in Nova Scotia, how you’ll contribute, your previous involvement on campus and in the community, and your envisioned contributions to all of Nova Scotia.
Application and selection process:
The Study and Stay™ - Nova Scotia Program employs a selection committee to review applications and select candidates. Applicants will receive their application status within two weeks of the submission deadline. Students should complete the online application at http://studynovascotia.ca/studyandstay-2-2. The application deadline is September 25, 2023.
