INTRODUCTION

HOMEWORK 1: RECYLFIE PERSONAL REFLECTION: I had several initial ideas for this assignment, but after some experimentation I decided upon using plastic straws to mimic the shape of Scandinavian straw ornaments and create a historic like headpiece and earrings.

CLASSWORK 1 PERSONAL REFLECTION: I faced immense difficulties when working with plasticine for the first time. Firstly, I struggled with managing my time and only managed to finish 3 models. Also, I initially started with a bad type of plasticine.

HOMEWORK 2: QR Code PERSONAL REFLECTION: I faced difficulties in this assignment regarding the composition; I paid too much attention to details and aligning the building blocks exactly to the outline of the QR code and did not see that the assignment revolved around a more abstract idea of the QR code.

FEEDBACK RECEIVED: - Good execution and use of materials - Composition needed to be more abstract - Urban designer approach

CLASSWORK 2 PERSONAL REFLECTION: I worked faster this time and was more neat. I also kept in mind to use a variety of shapes and axes.

HOMEWORK 3: Inflatable Bouquet PERSONAL REFLECTION: This assignment tested by ability to work in a team. In the end, we were productive in dividing roles and helping each other think practically when faced with difficulties. Our concept behind this inflatable project was to mimic an abstract form of a fountain to fill an empty basin on campus.

FEEDBACK RECEIVED: - Needed to be more organized to show concept - Execution could have been better - Use of inflatables alongside balloons

CLASSWORK 3 PERSONAL REFLECTION: We were introduced to 4 types of compositions: grid, linear, cluster and central. I wanted to approach grid and linear in a way that was not too simple so I aimed to keep them modular but not basic.

FEEDBACK RECEIVED: - The cluster model needed to be more crowded - Remove cylinder from linear model

HOMEWORK 4: Make Some Noise PERSONAL REFLECTION: This assignment was the most difficult assignment I faced in this course as I had to do a functional kinetic model while keeping in mind composition.

CLASSWORK 4 PERSONAL REFLECTION: I found this classwork to be the easiest as I found reconstructing the model using pre existing shapes to be easier as I experimented with it.

HOMEWORK 5: Broken hART PERSONAL REFLECTION: In this assignment, I felt and observed my personal development throughout the course as I was able to more effectively represent ideas in an abstract composition.

PERSONAL REFLECTION: This was the most eccentric classwork I’ve received and it was oddly difficult in a way to go against my natural instinct to submit the opposite of what is required.

EXPRESS-O PERSONAL REFLECTION: When approaching this task, I kept in mind to create a good, balanced composition and utilize the materials I have while also avoiding literal application of the words.
