PREGNANCY TESTING

ULTRASOUNDS

We provide lab-grade testing to any woman who thinks she may be pregnant.

Sonograms give our clients the chance to see their baby’s heartbeat and find out how far along they are, empowering them to make a fully informed choice.

OPTIONS EDUCATION

LIMITED STI TESTING

Our client advocates share accurate, life-giving information on all pregnancy options, provide adoption, medical, and community referrals.

PARENTING PROGRAMS Our parenting programs for moms and dads include one-on-one support and classes on prenatal care, childbirth, lactation, child safety, Bible studies, and more.

Because ruling out an STI is needed prior to an abortion procedure, testing is another way we can help reach abortion-minded women.

MEN’S MINISTRY

We help men advocate for life for their children and equip new dads for fatherhood through one-on-one engagement and classes.

MATERIAL ASSISTANCE AND COMMUNITY REFFERALS

All our class participants are given the opportunity to "shop" in our Baby Boutique for essentials like diapers, formula, baby clothes, car seats, and other baby items as they are available.

ABORTION RECOVERY

Hope and healing are found through confidential Bible studies and small groups for women who have had an abortion in their past and want to find freedom in Christ.

The Courage to Change Holding her sweet baby, Noah, Allyson shook her head. “I probably would have aborted if not for the Pregnancy Center. I can’t tell you how many times I called San Antonio – like at least 10 times – and I just kept hanging up the phone.”

Allyson, already a single mother, came to the Pregnancy Center in a panic. After reviewing option information, Allyson received an ultrasound. Tears streamed down her face as she viewed the image of her 9-week-old preborn baby on the screen. Noticing two dates tattooed on her hands, the sonographer asked about them.

“Those are the dates of my two abortions. I carry them with me now.” Looking into her eyes the sonographer said, “Allyson, you can do this. You are strong and courageous.”

Looking back on that day, Allyson said, “It was the sonographer’s words that made me realize I could have this little guy.”

Allyson took advantage of everything the Pregnancy Center had to offer. She went to all her parenting classes and earned a new bassinet and swing for baby Noah. “I could not afford either of those things for my two daughters.”

With encouragement from her Client Advocate, Allyson completed her LVN classes and is just about to take her final exam. Allyson has reconnected with God and started attending the Catholic Church near her home. “I can’t thank y’all enough. I finally got my life back together.” Smiling, Allyson said, “I tell everyone about the Pregnancy Center!”

No matter who they are or where they have been, our desire is to show the unconditional love of Jesus to each person who walks through our doors. 99.8% of all clients said their experience at the Pregnancy Center was positive.

Serving Body, Mind, and Soul No matter what circumstances bring people through our doors, they are loved and valued at The Pregnancy Center. Families are created, lives are transformed, and people are living a more abundant life.

Healthy moms and babies begin with early prenatal care. Last year we provided 1,381 bottles of free prenatal vitamins and 755 OB referrals for women who did not have a physician. Many of our clients have hurts and heartaches that keep them in a cycle of shame, addiction, or even abuse. In 2020, the Pregnancy Center provided 434 referrals for professional counseling or support groups. There is a longing within all people to know the God who created them and loves them dearly. Our staff and volunteers had the opportunity to have spiritual discussions and prayer with 1,452 individuals. This past year 65 people made decisions for Christ!

Serving in a Pandemic Like so many, the Pregnancy Center was impacted by Covid-19. Continuing to provide essential services to women in crisis or families struggling to meet basic needs during a pandemic certainly challenged our team like never before.

Our staff and volunteers worked extra hours and sacrificed family time to keep the doors open but being able to help so many in the Coastal Bend was well worth the cost.

We saw an 11% increase in clients from the previous year. The Pregnancy Center continued offering free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, prenatal vitamins, information on healthy choices during pregnancy, and community referrals.

Clients could still receive free material supplies through curbside pick-up or in some cases our staff provided home delivery! Due to the pandemic, most of the year we were not able to do in-person parenting classes. Our team got creative and made curriculum available online with contact free mentoring by phone or electronic media. We provided more than 1,999 cans of formula, over 155,000 diapers, and 11,000 packages of wipes!

What’s Next Soon, those most vulnerable to abortion, college students, will have greater access to the life-saving, life-changing services of the Pregnancy Center!

Texas A&M Corpus Christi

The Pregnancy Center is moving forward with plans to develop recently purchased property on Ennis Joslin.

Del Mar College

For many years Birthright provided services to students at Del Mar College. Thanks to the Diocese of Corpus Christi the Pregnancy Center will be leasing this building on Baldwin so that we can begin providing pregnancy and STD testing as well as ultrasounds. Renovation to this building will begin in the Spring of 2021.

STD Testing

Due to Covd-19, our STD testing through the health department was greatly reduced. We are working with other community partnerships to help the Pregnancy Center provide this very important sexual health service.

Prenatal Care

Providing early prenatal care for women who are abortion vulnerable is the best way to ensure healthy outcomes for both mom and baby. Dr. Andrew Folley, Dr. Loree Taylor, and Nurse Practioner Lauren Noxsel will be heading up our prenatal care team.
