Two Sioux bags Plains hide, stained quill, coloured glass beads, tin cones, feathers and horse hair, having quilled fronts and geometric beaded panel sides and flaps, with ties, 33cm and 50cm wide. (2) £400-600 Provenance The larger collected in 1944. A gift from J F ‘Buck’ Burshears, founder of the Koshare Indian Dancers, La Junta, Colorado, USA in 1944. The smaller - John and Valerie Arieta, 1992.

A Sioux umbilical fetish Plains hide, coloured glass beads, tin cones and dyed red hair, modelled as a lizard, 27cm long, a Sioux horn spoon, with hide, quilled and feather adornments, 17.5cm long and a claw necklace. Three Sioux quilled hair ornaments Plains hide, cloth, natural and dyed quills, coloured glass beads, tin cones, feather and hair, including a nine strand ornament, with a tag inscribed MOHAVE APACHE NECK ORNAMENT PORCUPINE QUILL AND FEATHER, 167, 43cm long, a beaded panel with a crossed circle ornament, 37cm, and an open quilled ornament, 21cm long.
