Knebworth House, Gardens & Park Knebworth, Hertfordshire, SG1 2AX Home of the Lytton family since 1490, the original Tudor Manor was transformed in 1843 by the spectacular high Gothic decoration of Victorian novelist Sir Edwin Bulwer Lytton. The formal gardens, laid out by Edwin Lutyens in 1908, include a Gertrude Jekyll herb garden, a maze, a walled kitchen garden and wilderness walks. Set within the wilderness garden is a Dinosaur Trail featuring 72 life-size sculptures. The 250-acre park includes a miniature railway, an adventure playground and a deer park. Knebworth Park is internationally known as Britain’s largest music venue, and the British home of classic rock.
