469 A 19th century oak and mahogany longcase clock . With double swanneck pediment and carved columns framing both the dial and door. Both the short door and the box base have inlaid diamond marquetry motif. The dial is painted with pastoral scenes, with rolling moon, Roman and Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Signed Welshpool. Eight-day, twotrain movement. 227 x 58cm. £300-400

Caddy top, swan-necked pediment with ionic fluted columns frame a brass face with brass spandrels, silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, raised boss with maker’s name and two subsidiary dials for seconds and days of the month. Long door with fluted, engaged pilasters. Eight-day, two-train movement. £600-800
